Though given the variables with people of recruiting age, I believe that Coach got the character issue right the vast majority of the time.

We've had teams loaded with good people (and RKGs if you will.) Our guys almost always make ND proud.

Really sad about Mr. Neal. What a waste of a life and apparently of a soul. Don't know the details, but killing is pretty hard to rationalize.

That whole 2012 recruiting cycle... Darby, Greenberry, Tee Sheppard... then the delayed announcement from Davonte in the February(?) after signing day. After the 2011 back and forths with Tuitt and Lynch it was a crazy 2 years of recruiting.

Gotta wonder if this is why Kelly quit swinging for the fences and going after the 5 star talent. Maybe Pinkett was wrong about ND needing a few more "criminals" to be successful.

I know it wasn’t Kelly, but how could any coach recruit a player who was kicked out of multiple schools for acts of violence (Shembo.) He threw a friggin’ desk at a teacher!
