Just stupid good. I don't even want to begin to think how good he will be NEXT year when we have to go there. Plus all those WRS and backs come back.

Looks like a Heisman favorite IMO. FSU may be the best team in the country right now (may finally be living up to the hype for so many years).

Still really haven't played anyone. Maryland was exposed as a bad team. Winner of FSU Clemson next week likely goes to the National Championship game

He is definitely in the discussion. Silly numbers so far. I'm riding the Marcus Mariota train until further notice.

They've still got those Florida/South Carolina rivalry games to end the year. But I agree that whoever wins is in the driver's seat to finish undefeated.

Let's see how he does against Clemson, and Florida later in the year.

He looks real good, and has the weapons around him to put up really impressive numbers. He had a mediocre day against Bethune-Cookman, but didn't make any bonehead mistakes. I think what is impressive is that he makes great decisions with the football, and looks decisive. Add that to the fact that he can makes some plays by escaping the pocket, and keeping his eyes down field, he looks to be very good.

Florida States schedule sets up really nice for him to put up big numbers, because he will face subpar defenses throughout(with exception of Florida). I think the chances of him having a bad game are good considering his first year starter status, but it wouldn't surprise me if he comes out unscathed.

No he wasn't. He was barely on the radar at this point last year. But I agree with your post about Winston. He's ridiculous.

Dude I read a stat last year at this point Manziel had 19 TDS with 2 picks. Maybe he wasn't getting all that much attention but when he did what he did against Lousiana tech everyone knew who he was. IMO he was a heisman candidate and so is Winston. Maybe front runner?

I believe it was ESPN earlier that held up a stat side by side comparison of the 2 thru this point in the season last year. They had almost identical numbers I believe.

Pretty sure we read the same thing. I wanna say Jessie Palmer pointed it out.

After the La Tech game (week 7), Manziel had 14 passing TDs, 3 INTs and 600+ rushing yards with 10 TDs. The next week he threw for 0 TDs (didn't run for any either) and 3 INTs vs. LSU. He wasn't in the top 10 Heisman candidates (according to Heismanpundit.com) until after the Alabama game (week 11) and took the lead after Klein's disaster performance vs. Baylor in week 12.

The stats may be comparable, but Manziel wasn't a Heisman candidate until later in the season. I'd put Winston in the top 3 right now.

Fair enough. I must be in the wrong week so thank you for pointing that out for me bro. Who's your top 3
1. Boyd
2. Winston
3. Manziel

It's really an interesting year with no clear cut early favorites. Most years there is at least a clearer picture of the top guy(s). Last year it was Geno (early), then Klein (middle), then Manziel (late).

Right now I think Mariota is the leader with the next five basically tied as close 2nds.

1. Mariota (Oregon)
2. Manziel (A&M) - the loss doesn't hurt him because he went off and put up 42 points on Alabama.
3. Winston (FSU)
4. Boyd (Clemson)
5. Bridgewater (Louisville)
6. Petty (Baylor)

Bridgewater and Mariota are in the mix as well. Plus, I am not counting out McCarron if and when Alabama wins out.

seems like they would have already brought a case if it was substantiated. Last December is a while back for a case of this nature.

According to Winston's attorney, Timothy Jansen, his client has NOT been interviewed.

Wow. So I guess this matter wasn't "closed" as initially reported.
