home/females win out a lot...at least recently in regards to recruiting. i'm sure there's a few exceptions.

There is only one remedy to all this. Winning football games. It's been said over and over, but it's true.

Exactly. Case in point here is Michigan. I have a hard time believing they'd be recruiting as well as they are right now if they hadn't gone 11-2 with a BCS Bowl win. Just win baby.

But they killed it the previous year as well, considering the RR firing and Hoke hiring.

UF went 7-6 last year. :whoknows:

Exactly. What this means is that ND is not known as a winning program in recent history. Great programs have a down year or 2 (See: Texas, FLA etc). They don't take over 20 years to rebuild.

It's Florida, they have a gold mine for recruiting in their backyard and they have also won a lot of games recently, in the recruits lifetime. Notre Dame hasn't and doesn't have the same luxury. Out of 15 current commits, 12 are from Florida.

She probably went to F$U and is an F$U homer!

Not sure if you're joking or not, but it makes no difference. She got a direct quote from him. And even if he was just being nice to a state of Florida reporter, the fact is, it's been out there a while now that FSU is right there (if not out in front) with Notre Dame.

When Steve Wiltfong tweets that a recruit has ND on top, do we question it? Based on the above, we should, b/c Steve definitely has major ND ties still to this day...

My bad, yes it was meant to be a joke and a smarta$$ remark

Asked when he expects Ryan Green to make a decision

“@joshnewberg247: maybe end of spring, early summer.”

Surprising. Everything else recently said it would be after his season. If he is deciding sooner it definitely favors FSU.

The good thing is now RB is a position of strength so ND fans don't have to hang on this kids every word and actions like we have had to before with other recruits.

While rb has depth, green is a stud and would be an impact player at nd. I will be following this closely.

Yep. It's kind of like the Lynch thing: there's no question that we've got some talented guys at his position and we'd be ok without him, but Green seems to be the type of player (like Lynch) who can change a game by himself. His highlights are mind-blowing. Really hope we get him.

I agree. I want him really bad, however am trying my best to not get to emotionally invested with these recruits this year. I think he chooses FSU when its said and done, but who knows... anything is possible and would love to have him.

FSU and ND have the same "problem": We're both stacked with great, young talent at RB. It comes down to what's really important to him. Does he want to stay in-state, or does he want a top notch education? We'll see.

Fixed it ;)

Anyone follow or know of FSUs recruiting this year? Do they have a couple RBs they could get? Looks like Green is the only RB we are pressing right now

I have hear AJ Thurman is high on their list and he is high on FSU. That being said I have also heard they want to take 2 RBs this class.

yeah, but two top talents are still difficult to get... OSU wants 2 TEs, but they may have to settle for a second tier prospect because they already have a top TE committed. While competition is everywhere, I think it would put a recruit on edge if he knows there is already a top recruit in his class for the same position... One of the recruits will not get the playing time he wants. Just my opinion though.

I agree, but neither (Thurman or Green) have committed... I was just responding to the question if FSU had any other legit targets, and yes they do, with Thurman being one. The sell for FSU to Thurman and Green could be the fact they are two entirly different running styles (Thurman being more a pounder, Green more of the shifty speed back). I really hope we get Green but in my opinion Green is a FSU lean because of the proximity to his family, his family seems to bee FSU fans and if another stud commits I dont think that will make him shy away....I really hope we get him on campus one more time before he decides (someone tell Riley Gibbons to make a trip north so Ryan can hitch a ride)

FSU insiders claim that ryan is a big FSU lean and could decide early summer. We need to get him back in June for a camp or to hang out. Jake Brown seems to think its a lot closer than that. But i believe FSU has a nice big lead right now heading into the summer circuit.

Tried to skim through but there were too many pages, my apologies if this has already been posted. Either way it isn't on his front page.

Homeboy can move, no? The run at 2:17 looks like he in in fast forward.

And at 3:26.
And at 3:40.
And at...etc.
