If it is true that Darby trimmed the list to FSU, Clemson and Auburn, then this just became all the more vexing. It's perfectly normal for a kid to decommit (though I think you shouldn't verbal in the first place if you're unsure) but for a kid to be a solid ND verbal for as long as Darby was and then to turn around and drop ND completely off the list three weeks before signing day seems hard to swallow.

Either he was f.o.s all along or else something extreme happened between him and the staff. Given this staffs success recruiting to date, I'm going to assume that nothing happened with the staff (though that's been reported) but I don't want to say that Darby is f.o.s because, obviously, I don't know him from the eight ball and he seems like a great kid.

Wish you could crawl into these kids' heads.

For crying out loud Mike Farrell "heard" has us raising a white flag? How weak is that? IF...Darby invites BK into his home then ND has not been eliminated and we watch on NSD with our fingers crossed. If it does not come from Darby in public it is no more reliable than the stuff you read about me on bathroom walls.

Do you KNOW that ND will have a surprise recruit on NSD or are you just predicting it?

I think we would all appreciate some clarification. I think everyone (for good reason) is giving TP the benefit of the doubt but some degree of elaboration is justified at this point

TP might have jumped the gun on 'glorious NSD' and 'better than Agholor', but cut him some slack.

When he said that we might have been the favorite with Armstead, and if Armstead had committed (right after Keil, mind you) we would have picked up serious momentum with other recruits. Recruiting can change fast.

my best case scenario theory for us:

Poole is now an ND silent (any flip from Home State U at this stage of the game HAS to be/is always a silent one), and once ND knew this, they dropped Darby to further ensure the Poole commit.

explains timing of "ND out for Darby" coinciding with the Kelly Gang Poole in home visit.

Because your original comments were so vague that they generated excitement but now no one knows what you were really even predicting. I guess what I am looking for is a clarification as to whether you still believe, today, that we are getting a recruit that is "better than agnolor" which is the most concrete thing we have heard. Basically I want to be able to give you credit if it happens. But I don't know if you believe that anymore. Not trying to call you out, just seeking clarification or an admittance of being wrong if you no longer believe that.

Yes and no on Armsteads. I did think we would get them based off of what I had been relayed to me at that point. Yet, few days after there were circumstances that made it almost impossible for ND to get the Armsteads or push them to ND.

ND Nation will be more than happy on NSD and thats not changing.

The last thing a kid that is a lean to a school, or committed needs is rumors popping up and getting heat from different places and them not coming to ND. If they sign on NSD its done.
