Result of TT reporting that Ed O and Kiffin visited Tee yesterday. Warranted or not, that is where the newfound fun is coming from.

Not sure, but I'm guessing TT's report was based on our old friend Greg Biggins' tweet yesterday. There was some chatter on the USC 247 board, but I don't have access to 247 so I can't see the posts from Schrader.

If I had to guess, and the report is actually true, Ed O and the guy who may have provided the last moment of lucidity for Al Davis probably tried to use the ND coaching situation as a last-ditch effort to pull a Diaco since Martin is no longer the DBs coach. I doubt it worked, as Denbrock was in the house yesterday after the Chippendales dancers.

Unless he is telling all these players he is supposedly recruiting that all this USC stuff is bogus, I would think his recruiting others players would be less effective. In that scenario, all this USC/Hat talk would be undermine his recruitment of other players.

Remember Kyle Brindza's recruitment? that dude committed fairly in the process, and then was a recruit-whore for ND. Big difference from holding out till the very end, and trying to recruit to ND.

I doubt it. For one thing, he was in Cali all day yesterday by all indications. Second, although admin offices may be open, unless things have changed since I graduated, the dorms are closed to just about everyone (if I recall correctly, only athletes currently in season are allowed in the dorms during winter break). I think he probably said it just to put a measure of finality to the entire situation since he didn't get to pull his hat trick.

Hasnt it been known all along that they were selling him on that support and his dad was in USCs corner? The only point of debate seems to be how close Tee was to buying it, and apparently from Tee himself and several ppl in the know, he was never actually close despite what was being "reported".

Agree with this. I also wonder how much his dad was actually in USC's corner, as opposed how much he was just doing his job as a dad and making sure his son actually examined his options to make sure he was making the best decision for him.

I wonder this too. They keep saying USC had his dad in their corner, but I can't picture Mr. Shepard pushing Tee away from ND and toward USC. I'd imagine that he was just interested when USC said they could offer his son more help in school which I still believe is utter bogus.

In the end, Tee is Irish, and I'm glad as hell to have him! VERY special kid.
