Is it wrong to think that he switched for the fact that we are still after big RB recruits? Being that Mich is who they are, (They are who we thought they are. If you want to crown their azz then crown them) and his possibility to play right away at Michigan over here, especially if we land Huggins, wrong? I would like to think he claims the door is still open given RR job status and which RB's commit by early January to ND. I hate to lose the guy but if his ultimate goal is to get in and get to work right away, I understand why he would change his commitment right now. However, if he sees in Jan to Feb that we landed no other big time recruits as far as RB's, we stay strong on him, he recommits is that so bad? I know we want the RKG type kid but in a way can't you look at this as a situation where a kid wants a best chance scenario to play right away? To me, spin it your way as I am doing, this kid just wants to compete for a starting job as true freshman. If I was being placed on the back burner since I committed, knowing the coaches who recruited me were still after other big name backs, I would solidify (or try to) at a school I had a chance to accomplish what I wanted. Knowing that when Feb 2nd rolls around I can reevaluate my stance and change. I know its thinking outside the box as well as foolish to some. Seriously though all that matters in the end, if you come in wanting to win and show that, you will earn your PT. Sometimes it is just easier to sure up your spot plan B wise then shoot for plan A if the situation is right. As much as I hate Michigan, it's not like the kid decommited for Indiana or Utah St where he would have more of a chance to get hurt than succeed. Call me crazy but this may open doors for other top RB recruits. All in all I am stoked for NSD...
