I am currently following him on twitter and one day I randomly decided to post something on his wall haha. I said something about him wearing that gold helmet running out of the tunnel and he requested to follow me back after that post. Not sure if that was a good sign but definitely raised my brow on that one. Besides that, the kid is flat out talented. Would love to have him playing any position for the Irish.[/QUOTE

Well he's clearly going to be Irish now. If not I'm blaming you.

0% chance unless we get Armstead + Payton => Treggs flip => Adams commit... at which point he might want to join his bros.

I think we could definitely land armstead payton and adams.... Not so sure about Shaq and Treggs. I just feel like they are all Cal

At this point if Shaq doesn't go to Cal he is going to Washington. He says he is a big city kind of guy and doesn't really see himself in a smaller city which means you can kiss a commit to Notre Dame and Oregon goodbye, and considering ASU just fired Dickerson, and Shaq loves the campus, players, big city feeling of Seattle, and coordinator at UW...my guess is he will be a dawg next year, which unfortunately pains me to say as a current UO student and huge ND fan

Yeah but I heard through the grapevine that his fiance got a scholarship to cal for softball.. Not sure what he would do in that situation i mean if i was him i would probably stick with the fiance but who knows anymore...he will probably do his big announcement at the high school all american game like they all do...but yeah i agree with irishman3 it does pain me to see him go somewhere else. ND could always use more talent.

Told BGI this week that while he likes the big city he is intrigued by getting away from it and going to a place with a lot of tradition like ND, thinking it could less of a distraction for him. Also said he likes ND's surroundings.

Still a long shot a best but better than nothin.

If anything South Bend is not that far from Chicago or Indianapolis or Toledo if he wants to get away for a weekend.....

Seriously? I hope kinda hope nobody on ND's staff touts the proximity to Toledo when trying to land a recruit.

Hey I cringed when I wrote it but maybe he's into cities that have nothing to do........;)

Yeah it's about 2 hours away but I mentioned a weekend get-a-way. I drive to Cbus and Cland for weekends like that to visit friends regularly and it goes by fast.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you live a different style than an 18-year old, 5-star recruit :)

Pfft my last semester at ND I was driving back and forth EVERY DAY I had class from Indy. Nothing like spending 5 hours a day on the most boring drive in America.

Isn't there a Corporal Klinger Museum in Toledo?

lol I haven't a clue.

In all honesty I love Toledo and it does have it's attractions and events but it's a very small city in comparison to what Shaq is talking about. Just thought maybe he'd like a change.....

If he's looking for a change, it's probably only about 45 minutes to Shipshewana for an Amish Barn Raising.
