I was born and raised in South Carolina and it's only Clemson or USC there!!! Anything other than that you would be considered a Benedict Arnold. When talking with the family Chris told me that the easy choice would be USC but he wanted a challenge! During the discussion his father explained to Chris that everyone from SC goes to either USC or Clemson to so call represent their particular town or county in SC but felt that Chris would be representing his entire State at ND! But needless to say your comment is actually correct. How would it look if Chris was to actually be among the best collegiate athletes in the nation and Clemson or USC didnt get him...... It wouldn't look good for the programs if they couldn't dominate recruiting in their own backyard. Later guys...Go Irish

The QB that may be getting the ball to Chris during his time at ND is from South Carolina as well. Swinney and Spurrier will be kicking themselves when they see the talent and speed from that state dominating at ND.

Can you guys imagine the speed we can have on offense with Chris (hopefully), Golson, Atkinson, and possibly Agholor and Marshall?

Not a problem..... You guys can't even play it off well. Regardless, I enjoyed conversing with each of you. I swear you guys have the best fan base in the nation and have no doubt that my son will be right at home.... God Bless you and the Fighting Irish!!!

If that is you Mr. Brown thank you for clearing things up, and helping us understand what is really going on. Welcome to Notre Dame!!!!!!

I saw this thread last night and thought to myself "Nope, not worth a click. It's just a bunch of fanatics getting overly worried about Chris Brown leaving when there is nothing to worry about."

Goodness God I missed some shocking revelations. haha

There's a guy that goes by the name of Gary Gray who is from South Carolina and play for Notre Dame, so Chris would not be the first player from that state to play at ND.

So is Everett Golson, but I'm sure there is a lot of pressure for Chris to stay in state.

All-American cornerback Luther Bradley was also from South Carolina. Arguably the best DB in school history.

So let the record show that ND has a bit of a history of having impact players from South Carolina. I'm looking forward to Chris being the next to carry on that tradition (along with Everett Golson, which could be quite a tandem over the next four years).

Tenatively coming to the game this weekend per Sapp.

I am guessing NotreDame2012 will be coming with him?

If Chris comes that means only Darby, Baratti, and Prosise won't be there.

He already had his official, so that means NotreDame2012 is footing the bill on this one.

ISD confirms he and his family are coming up Friday for the weekend for an unofficial. Chris is solid, and a good visit will only help to reaffirm a thought out decision.

Making unofficial with family, since ND is where he's going they think it's important to see it. Supposedly sat down and weighed the pros and cons between ND and South Carolina, and ND came out on top unanimously between Chris, his father, and his mother. No plans to take visits to any other schools.

Sounds like Chris and his family are solid. Great news!

If that's the case great but if he's not, a spot for Jordan Payton will open up if he wants it.

IMO there is no room for Payton if Brown is solid.

Actually might mean no room for Bryce Treggs... Brown (supposedly) is slated for slot. But like all players, who knows where they end up when they actually step foot on campus.

I think Jordan Payton, Amara Barboh and Nelson Agholor are all looking at the same spot. This is all assuming 4 WRs.
