Former players and assistant coaches for Saban speak of him as if he were a god, there's obviously a lot of love for him.
Former players and assistant coaches for BK don't really talk about him I've noticed.
Good question. Seems that if they fire you, they couldn't enforce that as opposed to him leaving on his own accord. Just that they would only owe the difference of they took another job.I am curious about the "real world" implications of this "duty to mitigate" clause that is in coaches contracts that requires them to seek another coaching job or a job in media.
If BK (through his agent) simply lets it be known that he really doesn't have any interest in coaching again, but would agree to do an interview if a school would like to talk. I'm assuming that would still allow BK to get his money.
If a school actually does ask for an interview and BK is just brutally honest and says "Listen, my heart really isn't in coaching anymore. If you hire me, I will likely put in the most minimal effort possible relying on my assistants to do all the work. If you are OK with that, then I guess you can hire me if you want".
I would think that it would be pretty hard for LSU to get out of the buyout even if BK has a "duty to mitigate".
So what you're saying is, that he hit the lottery! If I were guessing, the negotiation around the buyout amount likely revolves around the concept of a lump sum.
If there is no negotiated settlement to the contrary, BK's contract calls for monthly payments over the remaining term of his contract. BK and LSU may both want to negotiate a smaller overall buyout amount that would come with a lump sum payment instead of the monthly payments.
Sounds like they are kinda "poor"
If you have a structured settlement and you need cash now. Call JG Wentworth 877-CASH-NOWSo what you're saying is, that he hit the lottery!
again, from whats reported, his wife wants nothing to do with OSU and their fanbase so i dont see that happening. They'd want Vrabel ahead of Freeman too IMO
its in the Merck threadThat’s the first time i have seen this.
Must be a straight payout then with no strings attached$27MM
as Tom Lemming said of BK "hes a golfer, not a recruiter"He took the job for the year round golf lol
Average of 95 and that doesn't include lost balls in the woods, using the foot wedge to nestle the ball on a nice tuft of grass, and throwing the ball out of the sand trap with a nice underhand toss.400 rounds and your average score is 95? Mediocre on and off the course.
And I thought @Jimmy3Putt was bad....
Dont forget the Good/Good from 7 ft out on the putt.Average of 95 and that doesn't include lost balls in the woods, using the foot wedge to nestle the ball on a nice tuft of grass, and throwing the ball out of the sand trap with a nice underhand toss.
Of course... LMAO. Forgot about the "gimme".Dont forget the Good/Good from 7 ft out on the putt.
At least he can use that money to golf with himself and his frien... oh wait

I would 1000000% take public humiliation for sums far lesser than this lol. Good Lord in Heaven
