Steak N Shake used to have a really good chili 5 way.

It was very good, but ever since Biglari took over, they have dropped a notch or two IMO. When they advertise for investors on billboards, it makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Lion, the fam and I have gone to Wildwood every single year since birth and Russo’s is the first spot we hit every time. Absolutely love seeing this call out. Their buffalo chicken cheese steak is even better. Will be stopping in next week.

So my ‘financial advisor’ is a big work out junkie and all her friends from base camp and cycle bar have come over at different times and tried my food. One of this larger workout group is a soldier who is deploying and he and his wife graciously asked me to cook a going away feast lol. So Saturday it’s:

Green Chile cornbread
Churro cheesecake
Chile Colorado
Mexican Chile beans
Mexican rice
Guacamole
Salsa and

My F. A. Is adding her green enchiladas and calabacitas.

All scratch made. Starting it all tomorrow, lol. I’m honored he’d ask me of all people, so we are going all in.

We’re not big on the gyros (I personally am, but I’m the only one). Outside of Russo’s and some seafood spots I think the cuisine there leaves a lot to be desired, but Sea Shell’s for ice cream is our go to

There’s no reason to go to Subway if there’s a Jersey Mike’s, Penn Station, Jimmy John’s, or even Firehouse Subs around

Talk about pricey. Firehouse is crazy for what you get.

Dated a waitress at Steak ‘n Shake in Mishawaka, IN in the late 90s/00s and my free daily chili was decent… they were always packed but since moving back to the Midwest it’s def not the same.

We’re down at Ocean Isle Beach, NC this week. And, while down here I’ve had the chance to try Blue Plate Mayo for the first time. I’ve been a Duke’s guy for a while…but I’ve gotta say, I see why the south loves their Blue Plate. Pretty rich and creamy. It’s good. Idk if it surpasses Duke’s for me…I love the twang of Duke’s, but they’re definitely 1-2.
