Ya'll are crazy. Bama is still loaded with talent. Texas had to perform at an extremely high level to win that game. They connected on two incredible deep shots. Bama's D still looked very good but they wore down against fantastic execution.

They are, but they don't have the stud qb they have had consistently for a long time. Hurts, Tua, Jones, Young. Their new dudes aren't even in the same hemisphere as the aforementioned. Their defense giving up 34 pts!?! At home nonetheless. Yes they have defensive talent but definitely not like before there.

I believe I saw the SEC is 3-6 this year so far against the rest of the Power Five.

In fairness to Bama, they usually do play a marquee OOC game each year. I think most of them have been neutral site versus a home and home. Looking forward, they have home and homes schedule with Wisconsin, FSU, OSU (both Ohio and Okie), WVU and ND over the next few years. They are the pleasant exception.

Well that Middle Tennessee opener and Chattanooga warm up to Auburn in November makes for their standard TWO D2 schools each year. South Florida is 4-29 over the last three years - really stepping it up there but reps for leaving the state I guess.

I mean, we played Tenn State and CMU, so glass houses and all that. Point is, there are plenty of SEC schools to pick on for OOC schedule. Bama isn't the one I would choose.

4 true non conference road games in 17 years?

I'll choose them. Glass house or not, we've been hearing for nearly two decades that this is the greatest conference ever at anything in the history of mankind. I'm going to enjoy whatever comeuppance they get collectively, especially since the majority of them are bunch of coattail riding tribal dickheads chanting for the accomplishments of three schools, maybe four, when none of them have really done anything to contribute to the mighty legacy that's been built about their dominance.

Smores schnapps and December bowls for the lot of them.

Ohio state has had 5 since 2008 coming into this year and I didn't look back any further.

In that same time period, Bama has played OOC Clemson, VT, PSU, Michigan, VT again, WVU, Wisconsin, USC, FSU, Lville, Texas. They may not do home and home frequently, but they at least played one good OOC game each year.

Without looking it up, I’d guess that all of those games were in Jerry’s world, Atlanta, or New Orleans. All down south and easy for their fans to get too. Basically off campus home games.

But good competition. I don't have a problem with them scheduling someone decent every year out of conference.

I applaud your efforts in gathering information, but this entire conference can slurp crap through a straw. Including Vanderbilt.

I know a lot of us aren't ecstatic that ND is joining the race to the bottom. NEVER playing a D2 school was a point of pride - we just conceded the SoS argument to pander to BLM bs.

Auburn, Ole Miss, UGA, UK and Mizzou are the only unbeatens left. Conference play starting, I hope they all start picking each other apart.

They'll be fine unfortunately. If an SEC team beats an SEC team, they should go up 7 spots, but if an SEC team loses to an SEC team, they should drop 3-4 spots. It's always a net positive regardless of how mediocre their OOC record is.

I think that this may be more common than realized. Off the top of my head, in the last 20 years or so, LSU has played at Arizona, at Arizona State, at UCLA, at Washington, Wisconsin (Green Bay), at Texas, TCU (Dallas), at Syracuse, at West Virginia, UNC (Atlanta), FSU (Orlando), Oregon (Dallas), at Virginia Tech.

ETA: Shit, next year they have USC (Las Vegas) and UCLA coming to Red Stick.
