There's a couple of those in Indy. My issue is they like to bake it and it sits for a while. They throw your slice back in the oven when you order so it gets a little dry. It's best if you wait until they take it out of the oven to really enjoy, but that could be a while depending on how busy they are.
And here I always thought Dave Portnoy was an scUM fan…10 best pizza places I've had, in no order. Would score these all above a 9.0 out of 10 on my pizza rankings.
DeNino's of Staten Island
Di Fara of Brooklyn
Sally's in New Haven, CT
Frank Pepe in New Haven, CT
Adrienne's square slice on Stone Street in Manhattan
John's of Bleeker in Manhattan
Pete and Elda's in Neptune, NJ (Bar Pie)
Vic's of Bradley Beach, NJ (Bar Pie)
Lee's on Staten Island (Bar Pie)
L&B Spumoni Garden square Sicilian in Brooklyn
New Haven, CT is the best pizza-city in the USA.
Lol no, those are legit. Papa John’s breadsticks are just…crust? The cheese sticks that come in a small pie???
Tomatoes and peppers are both fruit bruh,…Anyone that enjoys fruit on their pizza........well I won't go any further.

Can honestly say the only places I went to because of a review of his was making New Haven a must stop. My GF lives 10 minutes from Denino's and 5 minutes Lees. The ones I mentioned in NJ I've been going to since I was a little. We get pizza at the office from John's whenever we order in.
I will say, one of the better ones that would be close to this list is a Detroit style place in NYC is called Lions and Tigers and Squares... never been to Detroit though so no idea if it's like the real thing.
One of the more interesting ones that AB2's post about the corn pizza made me think of was a mustard pizza. Actually very popular in parts of this area. They mix it into the sauce. Wouldn't go out of my way for it, but some people love it.
Wtf is wrong with Cincinnati? First they botch chili, now this?Greater Cincy has seen a boom in pickle pizza... ranch sauce base with pickles and cheese baked over top.
I haven't felt the calling to try it yet lol.
My man. Pretty good list. Worked in Brooklyn by DiFara for a long time. The old man cutting the basil was awesome. Johnnys in Mt Vernon is good as well. I disagree on two points. The New Haven BS and the L&B upside down slice. Most overrated pizza I’ve ever had. Totonnos I’m Coney Island was legit too.10 best pizza places I've had, in no order. Would score these all above a 9.0 out of 10 on my pizza rankings.

Thank you for speaking up on behalf of the rest of us! Ragazzi disgustosiThe pizza takes in this thread are gross and quite frankly disrespectful to the eye-talian Americans on this board. Mama Mia.
“Mamas Too” , with the cup and char pepperoni !!???You guys are going to think I’m crazy with this one but trust me. There’s a pizzeria every corner where I’m from and I’ve had slices from them all. There’s one place that does a grandma pie (basically a thin crust Sicilian) with those greasy ass pepperoni cups drizzled with some hot honey. Try it for yourselves if you can. And like an earlier poster, I’m so addicted to pizza I have my own pizza oven at home and make my own wood fired pies.
IT'S NOT CHILI. IT'S GREEK PASTA SAUCE AND IT'S AMAZING. THEY DIDN'T BOTCH SHIT.Wtf is wrong with Cincinnati? First they botch chili, now this?
