Don't be so sure. NIL is a hell of a drug.

I don't see him flipping until he has considered all of this options though, and ND is still in a good spot IMO.

Let me live in a fantasy world Lax!

I think the kid comes. Hope Freeman stays on his ass til he signs. Looks like a gamechanger

You don't sign a top 5 class without significant drama near signing day

I feel there is definitely reason why ND is still offering DEs and that's because they would hate to be caught with their pants down, but from everything we have been told since the beginning here, Keon does seem to get ND. It's just going to be hard keeping arguably the nation's best defensive player in the class.

IMO, a player like Keeley, Carnell Tate, Caleb Downs etc it’s numbers be damned. Fill the needs at those positions still. If these guys come, great, you just got an elite prospect. If not, ND isn’t screwed bc of it. They’re good enough competition shouldn’t matter.

Not to group Keeley in the same group as the others because I think he is pretty solid in his commitment, just moreso how recruiting in the NIL era should be approached IMO

I agree with Downs and even Tate but Keeley's a once a decade DE prospect for ND. Aaron Lynch's don't happen very often, thankfully he has good friends coming with him.

Marcus Freeman knows that to get ND to the next level, these recruiting battles will be necessary.

I can say with absolute certainty that the offers have nothing to do with Keeley.

ND needs to take a lot of DL this year, because between '21 and '22, they only have 6 DL projected going into 2022. Those are:

2021: Onye, Rubio and Schweitzer
2022: Ford, Gobaira, Hinish

Not to mention, for ends, only one guy is a true end in Schweitzer, who already has red-flags for injuries. Then this year, Ford could very likely end up bumping inside to DT, leaving only Gobaira at end. So in 2 cycles, you are looking at a situation with only 2 true ends. That's nowhere near enough.

That class gave me an ulcer. Lynch and Tuitt back and forth. Ugh. Brutal.

And why is that?

As I said, ND is taking a big class.

That isn't to say ND shouldn't worry about Keeley or that there's no chance he flips, but ND offering more ends isn't a reason to be concerned. They currently have 1 true end committed. They need 2 at minimum, and likely 3. So needless to say, they need to take more numbers.

Okay. Just didn't know if you actually knew something beyond the numbers situation or what.

I don’t know what is worst. Getting a commitment early them worrying sick for the next year they’ll decommit or not getting a commitment and worrying for a year whether they will commit.

Visiting OSU for two days.

Freeman was supposed to have a “come to Jesus” meeting with him about visiting other places, but he is still scheduling visits elsewhere.
