Standings update:

Only Irish du Nord and JJRyan got last week's prediction right at ND 21+. Their ultimate faith in our beloved Fighting Irish paid off. Irish du Nord is now tied with tko at 2 in the standings through week 4.

LOL,... wtf is a freakin bearcat anyway??? It's like they just took two random animals and morphed them together....

hard to take them seriously with that schedule and that crazy mascot... they should go with something more reality-based, like a leprechaun......

This is "Strength vs Weakness" both ways...

If ND goes with Coan, I think Ridder's mobility is the difference in an extremely close game.

If ND goes with Pyne, I think ND wins an extremely close game, IF Pyne can push the ball down field far enough to keep UC honest, even if he's not hitting a bunch of deep shots.

Neither team is going to run the ball well (on paper), and both defensive fronts have a huge advantage in pass rush (on paper).

UC's difference makers at WR are at their best getting into space, but Ridder needs time for those routes to develop. He can scramble around to buy that time, but I think Freeman will be ready for that, too.

I expect a game with both teams in the low 20's, tilting either way.

Coan vs Ridder: UC 24, ND 21
Pyne vs Ridder: ND 27, UC 24

Motion to temporarily ban one of our "leaders" and "owners"....dare I say, "Fan," Irish Lion, until October 03.

It's one thing for one of us generic posters to predict a loss, but an owner/mod...just too much to stomach.

I know nothing about Cincy but Power Hour told me their O-line is worse than Toledo's.

So naturally, Cincinnati by 7.

I believe he is a walking, talking, real life walrus dragon,… I retract my previous statements regarding them not existing.

Should have gone with Owlbear.

ND protects the home streak this weekend in a tough game.

ND is going to get exposed at some point and I think this is it. Just a feeling.

I think they are as well but for some reason I don't know if this is it. I think it will be against a team that can air it out more efficiently.

I think we can get to Ridder and at least make him uncomfortable enough that this doesn't turn into a career day through the air for them. He'll get plenty of first downs on broken plays with his legs but I don't see a lot of big plays in the passing game. I can't shake that Indiana game.

ND struggles to do almost all things offensively again while the defense is up for another challenge. ND wins 23-20.

Accuweather as of this morning. Hope it holds off until later afternoon.

Some sun, then clouds and remaining warm; showers late in the afternoon; a shower cannot be ruled out during the football game.

"A shower" and a torrential downpour are two totally different things. I don't think the weather will be too much of a factor.
