I was actually wondering this about young/LSU if he decides to pick ND this week.

They have 3 committed and another that is all LSU CB's. They are all rated/ranked higher than MY. You can't even find a Young-LSU connection with Google. I read where Les swung and missed on Young when really it was more like got caught looking... or in this case, not looking.

I'm a busy man and there are people on here who can breakdown film better than I, like Lucci, NDCrusuider, etc.
So you don't consider me one of those posters who is good at breaking down film...even though I'm the prophet and called KVR going to CB before he ever stepped on campus...thanks Koon.

Brian Poole actually almost flipped, he hinted to the ND staff he was coming on signing day. No one really bought it but there was a little smoke there.

Instead goes to Gainesville where there's always a lot of smoke.

In an article talking about WR recruiting and Young's upcoming commitment. Loy said that Black hasn't made his silent to the selected team yet. FWIW.

Just visited Bama and seemed to enjoy himself.

Hypothetical based on suggestions he gave his silent verbal commitment: If your a HC and a kid says I'm committed but I don't want anyone to know and I'm still gonna take visits, what are u supposed to say/think? Not really much of a commitment IMO.

He's not a take at Bama unless they pull a Derek Kief

Michigan wants Nico and DVP
Stanford has the admissions process
Auburn?
UCLA seems to be the main competition but that is a long hike from where he's at now which he has brought up in the past

In every post about WR talk, Scout basically indicates Black is Irish. Whether that means now or later no one actually states outright but it seems pretty clear to me their feeling.

Anna says get used to him talking up a bunch of schools

Tarik Black just tweeted "I can't wait to play defense full time this season." Not sure how to read into it but thought I'd post it.

Tarik Black just tweeted "The process begins here!! Roll Tide!!" Not sure if he's in Tuscaloosa but I think he is. I hope he doesn't get pulled in like Wills....

Do the offers from Alabama and UGA change this, or are they still not actionable? Seems suspect to get an "official" unofficial offer.

I don't think he has official offers from either. Both are after different/ better fits for their offense. It's Bama they will never have a problem bringing in the best WR's with their success recently.

I think this is what he is referring to

All offers up until Aug 1 for '17 kids were verbal only. As of Aug 1, official, written offers can be sent out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that is correct. Google gives me a bunch of articles but nothing with solid references to back it up - but that is the prevailing result: August 1st is when formal football offers are extended for the following signing period.

Tarik Black is yet to set any official visits, and his plan remains to commit before the start of his senior season, but not announce it until his plays in an all-American game in January.
So when the nation's No. 12 receiver visited Michigan for the Barbecue at the Big House, there was plenty of attention given to Black, who plays at Cheshire (Conn.) Academy.
Black's top six also includes Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Stanford and UCLA, but his focus on Saturday was on Michigan.
"The Michigan visit was fantastic," Black said. "I really enjoyed my time there, spending the time with the coaches and the players and just walking the campus and having a good time. I pretty much saw everything on the previous visits like the facilities, the campus, the stadium."

AnalysisBlack is a big target who tracks the ball well and high-points his catches. He goes over the middle and can also get down the field. He has big hands to secure the ball and tucks it quickly. He gets off the line well and is quick in and out of breaks. He knows how to use his size against the defensive backs. He needs to add strength to be more physical down the field and also to be a more effective blocker. -- Brian Dohn

One of the most important aspects of the visit was spending time with passing game coordinator and receivers coach Jedd Fisch.
"Going through the numbers game on the depth chart with coach Fisch, with the receivers and stuff like that, I thought that was really big," Black said. "Just to see how I stack up and fit in among the guys already there, I think that was a pretty big deal. I think depth chart-wise, it would be a good opportunity for me to go in and play right away."
The 6-foot-3 1/2, 206-pound Black is in the process of scheduling official visits, and he can squeeze some in early as his season does not begin until Sept. 17, but then he plays exclusively on Saturdays until mid November.

He broke down why the other five schools on his list remain possibilities, and what he likes about each one:
Alabama: "It has a really good coaching staff. They develop guys. They have a lot of guys that play in the NFL, which is ultimately the goal for me. I really get that good feeling on campus and I gelled with the players well, so that was good."
Auburn: "I like the coaching staff. It would be a good opportunity for me to come in and play early. I really enjoyed my time on campus and touring the facilities, and the conversations I had with the coaches."
Notre Dame: "It's the same (as Stanford with off-the-field). I really like their schedule. To be an independent, they play a lot of good teams. The coaching staff develops their guys and they're not going anywhere. No one is leaving Notre Dame."
Stanford: "It's a great education. Second-to-none when it comes to that. It's a great coaching staff as well. They are the elite of the Pac-12, so they're always going to play in the Rose Bowl, or be in the college football playoffs, so that's good."
UCLA: "It's a great coaching staff as well. They have a lot of really good, experienced coaches that know the game of football. A lot of them come from the NFL. I could see myself living in L.A. It's a cool place to me."

Breakdown of the quotes:

He broke down why the other five schools on his list remain possibilities, and what he likes about each one:

Alabama: "It has a really good coaching staff. They develop guys. They have a lot of guys that play in the NFL, which is ultimately the goal for me. I really get that good feeling on campus and I gelled with the players well, so that was good."
TRANSLATION: The academics suck. Women are hot and players ball out at Bama. I wouldnt have to go to classes either, just focus on ballin out and those rocking southern babes.

Auburn: "I like the coaching staff. It would be a good opportunity for me to come in and play early. I really enjoyed my time on campus and touring the facilities, and the conversations I had with the coaches."
TRANSLATION: They cant get over .500 unless they bring in Mercenary players and since they havent lately, I could come in and really get playtime since no one else on the roster cant catch a cold, much less a football. Coaches need me because if they dont start winning, they will be working at Walmart very soon.

Stanford: "It's a great education. Second-to-none when it comes to that. It's a great coaching staff as well. They are the elite of the Pac-12, so they're always going to play in the Rose Bowl, or be in the college football playoffs, so that's good."
TRANSLATION: I was told they were going to be in the CFP and surely a coach wouldnt lie right? I mean, just because they havent ever been doesnt mean they wont one day right????

UCLA: "It's a great coaching staff as well. They have a lot of really good, experienced coaches that know the game of football. A lot of them come from the NFL. I could see myself living in L.A. It's a cool place to me."
TRANSLATION: They have a ton of ex pro coaches but I cant for the life of me figure out why so few of their players actually make the pros? LA is great with hot women so much hotter than where I am from. And again, no classwork!!!
