I was just making a joke, because some posters don't like the term 'poor man's'. I called him a poor man's Elijah Hood on the previous page.

Poor man is such a non-pc way to put it. Try "economically challenged" and I bet your posts will get better reception.

Hahaha. I wish I had never said anything now.....Anyways, I love this commit. If he's 210 lbs now just after finishing his Sophomore season he could easily, and probably will, beef up to 225. I know that me and a lot of the guys I grew up playing football with grew significantly between the age of 15-18. This kid may end up being a BEAST!!! He all ready kind of is!!

Yup. I think it's just too early to stamp him with any tag, especially with his frame. Could stay in the same space or get leaner and faster, could gain 10-15 and become a bulldozer, could gain 20+ and be a better LB prospect. Long way to go.

Here are Hood's Soph. Highlights:

I could see it. However, Hood's style of running changed as he got older and he became more of a bruiser. Knowing Elijah, if Markese has the same kind of power/build, we're in for a treat.

I think he cuts and is a little quicker out of his breaks then Hood. Hood looked like a grown ass man and a third year college junior. Stepp is a good looking player but looks like there is still a little baby fat. Maybe he's a little bit of Joseph Addai

He reminds me of a face value James Aldridge.

Wow. I cannot believe you'd call one of our recruits face-value. So disrespectful. I hate that phrase. Just because you think you're so over-value doesn't mean you can judge people like that.

Scout: he's recruiting hard (Gill, Vann, Griffith, Hawkins, Oghoufo, Bookie Radley-Hiles). Thinks the next commit will be Vann or Hawkins

I'll be the low life that says the Georgia offer of our RB builds my confidence in Stepp.

I'll join you. An offer to one of our commits from any top end SEC team builds my confidence in the recruit. With certain recruits an offer from say Bama makes me nervous though. No worries about Stepp though. He's a great RB and seems like a great kid and great recruiter.

I won't be there tonight but Cathedral comes to town in two weeks to play Mishawaka. I might go to check out Werner and Stepp.
