His film and scores don't seem to reflect his rankings by the services at all.

Where is the disconnect?

I would agree to an extent but what do scores really have to do with anything for a QB? His offer list will surely expand but it does seem that top coaches around the country don't have him pegged as a 'top guy'. That doesn't mean he won't develop, he certainly has the athleticism, but there are definitely a lot of wrinkles in his game left to iron out.

I personally think Davis is to short. I like Sears, Garbars, and Hooker better then Davis.

Seriously? Dude, I at least worked in hardware (as well as paint and the dock).

Cue Tim Allen as stand up talking about Craftsman...

Participated at the Rivals QB challenge in LA over the weekend. Was one of the highest rated QB 'sand didn't disappoint. Lead wire to wire and won the competition or the "Accurate Arm" award. So, he'll be headed to Baltimore for the Finals of this competition.

Sears doesn't get an offer unless Davis doesn't commit this weekend--IMO Sanford seems to be all in on Davis and i truly believe Hooker felt that

Doubt it. If he was all in, Hooker would have gotten slow played.

Book and Davis only back to back. That's not good enough.

The only thing that saves it for me is if Wimbush redshirts this year and we pull the kid from PA for 2018.

All because Davis is small...have you guys even watched anything from his Hudl page?

I'm done with small QB's. I like mine 6'3" or taller. The Fluties of the world don't come around very often.

Wish we went after this kid but after commits any minute we will be all in on Philly kid. Maybe that's why staff took Davis to not scare off Phil for the next cycle. Thank God we landed Wimbush because Davis and Book seem a little underwhelming. But staff seems to like Book a lot more then others and that's why they get the big bucks.

Y'all are talking like Avery committed already. Let's wait until he does before we lament not getting Sears.

huh? Why would Davis not scare of Phil but Sears would? I believe that Davis is much higher rated.

Mike Vick, Kellen Moore, Everett Golson, Chase Daniel, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, France Tarkenton, Sonny Jurgenson, Pat Haden, Joe Theisman, and Len Dawson are all 6 ft or shorter. All were successful in college or pro football.

Logically...all QBs 6 ft or shorter are successful!

Is that NDShark, or NDSnark?

Rolls eyes; Book is going to be a whole lot better than almost anyone expects, from the comments I have seen and heard, contrasted with the game film I have seen.

So you took about a 60 year span (Dawson and Jurgenson were drafted in 1957) and came up with 11 QBs, I don't think that you are helping yourself.

Here is my opinion, being short doesn't mean that you can't be a good QB (of course there have been some good short QBs) but it makes it more difficult (disadvantage), more likely to get passes knocked down, harder to find throwing lanes, see the play down the field, etc. Just as being tall doesn't mean that someone will be a good QB it is just advantageous to be taller when playing QB (well up to about 6'6").

I understand that, I do. But I've literally seen 1 person raise an issue with Davis that has nothing to do with his height. Every other person to knock Davis has commented on his height. If height is the ONLY thing holding him back, why wouldn't you take him? Height is a much less important trait in a spread offense for a QB. Hell, Todd Reesing of KU was 5-10 tops and was really an outstanding player. I used to get hung up on QB measurables but they aren't nearly as important as, say, a defensive end or offensive tackle.

Also from recent history - Vernon Adams and Trevon Boykin both had very good careers. Both played in the spread.

What's the perfect height for not turning the ball over? That's how you become a successful qb.
