If we get 2/3 on Malik Henry, Tillery, I'll still call it a success.

Otherwise, this will be the Irish Flop, lol. Still a great idea and I'm glad they're starting it. That's what sucks about college recruiting. You just never know.

Let's keep in mind this is a first-year thing. I'm sure the coaching and staff will learn and be able to make this grow into a bigger event.

Not at all really. Still a big step up from the typical camps run by schools this summer.

Yeah, next year aren't they sharing a camp down South? Combine that with the strong 2016 presence this weekend and the seemingly earlier offers on 2016 kids and I think ND is on the right track - even if it doesn't necessarily bear fruit for this class.

I think the staff is stepping up their game.

Yeah as long as everything goes well the buzz should create a bigger showing next year. Very happy that we are doing this.

Agreed. Plus iirc wasnt there some turn over in staff in the recruiting office that had the staff behind the 8-ball in 2015 recruiting anyways.

I think you are right, was it Sandlin that got a coaching gig?

Tanget, but it drives me absolutely nuts that many prospects from out of the Midwest cannot afford to make the ND summer camps, when other schools are paying thousands of dollars and/or gifts to recruits, making a summer trip seem like peanuts.

How do the 7 on 7 and camps work where these guys fly all over the country for these events all summer but then cant afford to make II?

To The opening, 7on tourneys, etc. someone else can foot the bill for your travel, etc. Just another reason why NCAA rules are total bunk.

If they did, I guess it does not matter because the for sale kids don't end up here. I remember reading an article shortly after bk was hired where he was speaking to an alumni club and took the list of the top 100 players and scratched off like 90 of them as either academically would not get into notre dams or were pay to play athletes to illustrate the true recruiting landscape for notre dame.

Tevon Coney:

I posted this on BGI, but Coney is probably the second biggest uncommitted '15 on campus. Would absolutely love to land him at MLB. Even if we miss on Hilliard, a 3 man haul of Barajas, Bilal and Coney is elite at LB, especially when you add those guys to the backers we already have on campus. Future is very bright at LB.

Austin Bryant is on campus, per Fong. SIAP, but I thought I saw he was a scratch.

You might be thinking of Natrez Patrick? I'm very interested to see how Bryant's visit is.

Honestly, my mind/news feed is swimming with all of the updates, scratches, names, etc.

After this weekend, I'm cancelling 247 and done with this shit.

You guys make it look easy, lol.

I think this years plan is to get the uncommitted and 2016 guys to come back and official visit during the season.
