agree...I think he is doing his diligence, however painful for whatever fan base. He said he was going to do that. I'd rather a kid take longer than change his mind after he sends in paper.

I want a Demetris with no reservations...

I believe the 30 y/o Demetris would tell the 18 y/o Demetris to choose ND. ND has the academics and a pretty good history of putting wideouts in the league if he wants both. Outside that, many of the schools close to home also have a pretty good history of putting wideouts in the league. Unfortunately, 18 y/o Demetris does not have the luxury of talking to 30 y/o Demetris, so I'm happy 18 y/o Demetris is considering ND, and hope he makes a decision that makes him happy.

Agree. Hopefully, he's taking into consideration the stock pile of O-Line and QB talent we have on board.

yup because that separates ND from Stanford for anyone wanting academics and the league...for sure. Stanford has a new QB issue...ND has two proven winners at QB, and has them for the career of a 5* '16 recruit...no doubt there. O line is in good shape as well, but again, both QBs are mobile, which helps that even more...To me if it comes down to academics (and presumably football) ND is ahead of Stanford,

To my understanding it was 1a) Stanford 1b) ND 2) Everyone else. It was all about the academics. After all, his first choice was a school he had never even seen....

So now after all of this time it is about staying close to home????

His top two schools being academic schools doesn't mean that "it's all about academics." It's clear that he wanted (wants) to get admitted to Stanford, because he wants both "academic" options on the table, and those are apparently his preferences. But Georgia and Bama have always been lurking just behind, presumably because he ALSO has a desire to stay closer to home. It's not a sudden change that he might want to stay closer to home, rather than picking ND/Stanford...

But that doesn't mean that he is lying about his interest in academics. It doesn't always need to be an either/or, and we don't always need to jump on kids for "lying" about their interest in academics. Many other factors are at play that can trump academics, even when the kids say that they are a priority.

Are you telling me saying all is well gets a ban, or is it causing mirrors to smoke that gets the ban?

Or maybe in this environment of uncertainty, teasing is out of bounds. And of course, that would fit, TP you are such a tease!

Does anyone know if he's planning on announcing a decision date venue, ahead of time? Or is he just going to throw it out randomly?

Because, personally, I'm looking forward to a hat ceremony...

We kind of did have a commitment of sorts, or a recommitment. Corey Robinson was the one thinking about leaving, and has decided to reconsider.

It's actually Elmer who is leaving. Going to pursue a job opportunity upon graduation.

Damn this kid really doesn't want to go to ND. Why not just come out and say it?

This kids REALLY wants Stanford haha

HOWEVER , wiltfong doesn't believe he ends up anywhere but ND.....stanford still isn't a real option, not visiting georgia or bama leads him to this opinion as he wanted to go to an academic school....also the georgia site 247 still has ND as the clear leader as well

I'd be shocked if the kid did all of this to get admitted to Stanford only to turn them down.

all I can think of is if he keeps re-taking it, he must be pretty damn close to getting the score he needs to get in.
