Student Government was a joke the last few years that I was at ND. A few years ago a ticket ran unopposed and won like 55-45 over "abstain". I'm not sure about Terry's ticket but Corey seems to be a refreshing change from the normal candidates.

lol i remember at my alma mater folks used to run for student council over "abstain" and they would often lose

The one thing that bugged me is that he said basically that during football season he isn't going to really be able to commit to it fully and that he would just have his people run things. Like if that's the case, then why run? Have one of your people run

Ya that bothers me. I know I always considered St. Gov in general to be somewhat of a joke and a waste of time, but I'm pretty sure as president there is a significant time commitment. Best of luck to him, I just hope he is able to handle it without spreading himself too thin.

Zahm is the only dorm that I've gotten into this year that has been able to sneak in any kegs, they had 4 kegs during Zahm Zoo this year, so they must be doing something right

I know my friends in Sorin were part of the abstain movement from like '09-'10. They hung up posters across campus.

Can't blame the guy. Gotta take full advantage of your college years. Besides, isn't he trying to study theology too? He might not be able to or even really learn too much complex theology as an undergrad, but there are a couple good scholars in Jerusalem, especially a scripture scholar whose name eludes me at them moment, but I've heard described as the best by a guy I trust.
