Kelly was quite complimentary of Tillery on his Thursday radio show.

He was more than generous.

Sorry, I should have referenced post 2084. He posted some likes to tweets about Les Miles coming to ND. Not sure if this was now prompted, damage control, or genuine.

Minor correction. He didn't post likes to tweets. He liked others tweets and someone searched thru his 'likes' tab and found them.

Too many of you miss the point. Dissension in the locker room is not good. Don't care if Les' son is his best friend. This is something you never do.

Cleanse the cancer in the clubhouse. Guys like this want to mouth off, they can stay on the bench. Hopefully Kelly doesn't tolerate this crap and has a sit down with him. We need all hands on deck fighting for each other, not malcontents when the going gets tough. Life is full of adversity and it's important to learn how to handle the ups and downs that come your way.

I don't agree with his actions. But put your players and team in a better position to win and you don't have these issues.

I hope all of you who expresses strong opinions against Jerry Tillery can see what you did. I hope you actually feel ass-hat-ish enough to just stop.

A 'like' of a 'like,' and when he realized it he stopped. Maybe for all of you brining out the nails and the rope, maybe your issue is really something else.

If you think Kelly will be coming back as head coach for Notre Dame; it ain't happening. It is all about making a smooth transition to keep the recruiting classes in tact.

After last night I strongly believe there is no chance of Kelly coming back, but it will be interesting to see how many of his assistants will. Does anyone really feel otherwise? I mean honestly?

In fact, I would believe that Kelly was told he wouldn't be back after the NC State game.

Last night was just more of him throwing his talent under the bus to cover his abhorrent game coaching.

The way he treated DeShone, Sam, and a few others in the last week is enough for me; I don't care if players openly foment insurrection, and I am going to look to see what Jack Swarbrick does to stop Kelly's mouth. It has now become more damaging to ND's best interest than Kelly's poor game strategy, and tactics.

I don't believe Kelly mentioned any players play or threw anyone under the bus after the Stanford game. I'm a little confused by your comments.

I love when these kids get called out for their stupidity they come back with a "ohhh yeah. Sorry guys. Didn't mean it like thaaat."

Hopefully this type of stuff makes them realize that they need to let shit sink in first before saying it. Think before you speak.

Last night he threw Kizer under the bus by his substitution scheme with the quarterbacks.

Instead of pulling him, take away his play calling options.

And Mustipher who was thrown under the bus against NC State, had Harry defending him against Kelly's tirade, while Mustipher sat on the bench doubting himself.

I will bet if you want to verify, Kelly is speaking very uncomplimentarily to his players on the bench, and in private. And I am not talking lighting a fire under their asses, good coaching or anything close. These kids are descending into an emotional world of self-doubt and hurt.

Mustipher deserves all the criticism from who ever is dealing it after his abysmal performance the past two years.

OMG! Not thrown under the bus by a ... "substitution"!

Tell me he wasn't talking harshly about the guy that almost set a Notre Dame Stadium record for snapping a dry ball over the crossbar and out of the end zone. Mustipher had more hang time than Newsome.

Ah poor babies. Let's give them a participation trophy and a hug from bogs.

Hopefully after the Crossroads project is complete they'll be able to allocate some funds for an addition on the Gug. I'd really like to see a state of the art safe place added where any person, not just ND players, can go when they are the victims of micro and/or macro aggressions by BK, Donald Trump or any other mythical monsters.

Grow a pair you nancies.

Don't feel bad- you'll find this is a common theme after many of his posts.

Kelly clearly didn't throw either player under the bus. Maybe people don't stand what that term means.

Hopefully that addition has a specially designed crying room for "tough" moments in life.

Sorry, Bogs, but I think the ass-hatish thing is to put this off on anybody but Jerry. He wasn't "liking" other "likes," as that's not how Twitter works... he was directly "liking" that commentary of his own free will.

I think it is ass-hatish for a player to do that, just as much as it is ass-hatish for a coach to blame-share so liberally... but don't label your fellow posters in a negative light based on a flawed understanding of what Jerry was doing with his social media. He knew exactly what he was doing.

I was thinking of this last night. I dont know if ND is willing to get in another Weis situation again. It is just amazing how as soon as a coach is given a new contract, he seems to get worse not better. I can only hope that the contract didnt have guaranteed money like Weis' did. Unfortunately, I bet it did.

With that in mind, Im going to bet Jack will give BK another year. ND will be better next year just due to the matured stable but far from what the fan base would want. So instead of 3-9, ND will go 7-5. One more year to sink the ND ship. After that, Jack will act.

Unfortunately, that is a whole another year for ND fans to suffer with what we know now: BK isnt the man for the job.

But at least it should wipe that smug, cocky look off BKs face that he has every opening year.

Could someone steal this kids bike seat or something? Total demeanor of an OL, not DL at all. Good to see Jarron play tough this weekend.

And his twitter action was stupid - especially for an underachieving 5 star that should be part of the solution.

He's wasn't a 5 stat but your point is solid.

He's not been playing well.

Maybe not lighting the world on fire, and maybe more of an OL than a DL. But frankly we need him more on defense, and he's been playing fine the last few weeks. Jerry ought keep his likes to himself, but he's not really the problem.

I think Jerry has improved in his play as the season has gone on, played very well against NC St, and will continue to improve over the course of his career. His twitter action was a stupid mistake, no argument there, but certainly not the end of the world and at the end of bis career here should be no more than a very minor blemish. I don't like what he did but I am way more upset about BK creating a dumpster fire of a program than what Tillery did on twitter.

Everyone is talking about how great JJ played and rightfully so. Was at the game and he seemed unstoppable at times constantly drawing a double or triple team. Also noticed Jerry didn't seem to get in on anything. With JJ drawing all the attention I thought it would open him up for a one on one and he would get a sack or something. Did I miss anything or did he not have a good game?

He had a sack and one or two other plays. Relatively quiet day. Also, played a lot of 3 man fronts which limited the amount of reps for him.
