I really like his ability to get down hill quickly. What is the talent level his playing against in that Area?

In addition to the talent level of the competition, what is the caliber of the o-line? He looks about as big as one or two of the interior linemen, which is not meant as a compliment to Deon.

My understanding is he plays in one the best areas in the country talent wise.

His team is no bueno.

Reminds me of a smaller Adams, and well hey, I guess that worked out pretty well so far.

Really Josh Adams? I don't see it. I see Armando Allen. And I'm fine with that as long as he can stay healthy.

I really liked what I saw there. Not great as far as "highlights" but as far as showing skills you want your running back to have he looked great to me.

Really quick feet, cuts on a dime, good acceleration, good vision when his line gave him nothing, and gets running downhill quick. Not to mention he looked decent catching the ball too. Maybe not the strongest or fastest top end back but he looked better than I expected after reading some of the comments on here and looking at his rankings. He'll be a quality back in my opinion.

He plays against one of the better schedules in Florida. His team is normally one of the better schools in Florida, but it was a down year at Cardinal Gibbons (4-6).

But just a quick look at their schedule..

Plantation 8-3
Chaminade-Madonna - 7-3
Coconut Creek (6-4) Absolutely loaded team defensively
American Heritage (9-2) - Powerhouse
Hallandale (10-3) - Lost to Boudreaux's school in the third rd of playoffs.
Deerfield Beach (10-2) Beat St. Thomas Aquinas somehow

Evidently his younger brother is a pretty good athlete. He was named to the MaxPreps Freshman All-American Team and has an offers from Kentucky and Miami and Tom Loy put in his Crystal Ball for him to Notre Dame back in November. LOL

Has anybody in this class been as under the radar as Deon? I almost feel like we've forgotten him!

Even if he's not a 5 star, I'm looking forward to seeing him in Blue and Gold

What about my most underrated recruit Jamir Jones.

Also you don't hear much about Vaughn or the 3 star DE from Michigan whose name escapes me and make a my point valid.

I actually hear a decent bit on Jones. You're right about Vaughn though, and I keep hearing Ade on discussions on "which 3 star will surprise us with a huge role in 3 years"

Let's face it, half of our class has been under the radar. Some for good reasons, others...I have no f*cking idea how the hell they're still 3-star guys.

What do you mean? Most of our 3* commits got bumped to 4*'s

I don't know what it is, but I'm just super excited for Jones. Think he is going to be a super star. I thought he dominated the sempera bowl.

Because he's athletic and seems to dominate everything he does while also never spending much time at a single position? Oh and he has a ridiculous motor. I just hope that the staff can keep him redshirted. I really wish he had been an EE.

And here I go derailing my own talk about how little we talk about Deon by gushing about Jamir...

Was thinking about this the other day, besides John Shannon I honestly don't think so

I admit to having fallen way off in terms of following recruiting, but when I saw his name on the front page today I thought we got a new commitment. Not his fault. I am ashamed. But kind of supports what you guys were saying.

I feel like I'm the only one who here who likes Deon more than Tony Jones

Deon is going to prove faster than he seems. He stops and starts so much, that he isn't covering as much ground as he could. You could also just say he lacks fluidity. I'd be suprised if he turned out to be an impact player anytime soon.

Jones is going to putting his shoulder down and running into some big holes with a lot of agression. He's going to be valuable, and he is going to be aterror in the screen and with wheel routes.

The majority here preferred Bryant over Folston. I wouldn't worry about being in the minority too much. :p

It's a good point, but I don't like the analogy.

Folston was a prototype RB that seemed like a pretty darn safe bet, whereas Bryant had some things that pointed to potential elite skills. I don't see it like that with this years RBs.

In this year's class, it would be liking McKinley more than Robertson (if we get him).
