In three games, former #NotreDame RB Deon McIntosh leads East Mississippi Community College in rushing with 47 carries for 253 yards and seven touchdowns.
Wow can't believe he'd want to play for that hot head.
Wait...they use a running clock? Lol
This has probably already been answered, but is there any path for him to return to ND?
He's at a JUCO. Even if his grades were up to par, most of his credits wouldn't transfer. So no.
Deon McIntosh rushing for 147 yards and helping on pass pro for the first time in his WSU running back career was great to see. He broke tackles, had big chunk plays, yards after first contact, showed great ball security and -- most important -- was giving his O-line some love on the sideline.
What stood out to me most though was that he never came off the field. Far too often, you see running backs or receivers rip off big plays, then tap their helmet to get subbed out and get a break. McIntosh had multiple high-effort, long runs and stayed in the game to either get the ball the next play or help in pass pro. Given this opportunity, he made the most of it, worked hard, and earned a lot of praise from his teammates and coaches.
Good for him. It appears that he has worked hard enough to get another chance. Hopefully he'll continue to have success and get his degree.
