Wow can't believe he'd want to play for that hot head.

He thought he knew Purple Face and then he went to Scooba.

In all seriousness, no different from every coach I played for minus one.

Wait...they use a running clock? Lol

Yeah, they unofficially named the rule for Deon's current coach, because once he got his program at EMCC established, he was hanging 70 and 80 points on teams regularly, so they instituted a running clock rule to cool down the heat and limit the opportunities for truly running the score up.

Seems like a basic Mercy Rule. Used regularly in high school football if a team is up by 35+ in the 2nd half.

This has probably already been answered, but is there any path for him to return to ND?

He's at a JUCO. Even if his grades were up to par, most of his credits wouldn't transfer. So no.

He's not in South Bend because the answer to the question was no while he was still on campus.

Ex-Notre Dame RB Deon McIntosh's next stop is at Wazzu
By John Taylor | Jun 18, 2019 6:47 AM CDT

After a brief stop on a lower rung on the college football ladder, Deon McIntosh is back in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Speaking to 247Sports.com, McIntosh confirmed late last week that he has officially joined the Washington State football program and will play for the Cougars this fall. McIntosh spent the 2018 campaign at East Mississippi Community College — better known as Last Chance U — and earned second-team All-American honors at the junior college level.

For what it’s worth, Wazzu has not yet confirmed McIntosh’s addition to the roster.

McIntosh was a three-star member of Notre Dame’s 2016 recruiting class, rated as the No. 48 running back in the country. After redshirting as a true freshman, McIntosh ran for 368 yards and five touchdowns on 65 carries, with the yardage and scores third on the Fighting Irish in 2017.

Following the 2017 regular season, McIntosh was one of four Notre Dame players suspended for the team’s Citrus Bowl matchup with LSU for violating unspecified team rules. Nearly three weeks after McIntosh’s suspension was announced, it was confirmed that the back had been dismissed from the Fighting Irish football program.

Listed 3rd on the depth chart @ Washington State.

Looks more like a timeshare for 2nd string.

Has two years of eligibility left.

18 attempts, 147 yards, 1 TD, 8.2 avg in game one win over Oregon St. This is after only get 16 attempts all last year at Washington St.

He is still listed as the backup to incumbent starter Max Borghi. Borghi, who had played in all 26 games the previous two years, still put respectable numbers on the ground despite the Air Raid scheme to the tune of 127 carries for 817 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in 2019 alone. He missed last week due to a unconfirmed back injury.

Deon McIntosh rushing for 147 yards and helping on pass pro for the first time in his WSU running back career was great to see. He broke tackles, had big chunk plays, yards after first contact, showed great ball security and -- most important -- was giving his O-line some love on the sideline.
What stood out to me most though was that he never came off the field. Far too often, you see running backs or receivers rip off big plays, then tap their helmet to get subbed out and get a break. McIntosh had multiple high-effort, long runs and stayed in the game to either get the ball the next play or help in pass pro. Given this opportunity, he made the most of it, worked hard, and earned a lot of praise from his teammates and coaches.

Good for him. It appears that he has worked hard enough to get another chance. Hopefully he'll continue to have success and get his degree.

Agree. And he has a shot of making an NFL roster and/or a practice squad.
