where do we drop to? I hope not below michigan or usc

I'd guess about 7 slots but could be more. We lost by Extra Points as a 2 pt dog on the road.

UCLA and UGA should drop worse than ND.

Miss had a much worse loss and should fall below ND ... "BUT THEY BEAT ALA".

Everybody from #9. LSU to #16. NW should move ahead of us, all unbeaten except 4-1 ALA who crushed UGA.

USC and SU won't jump ND BUT OKS could and CAL and UF are both 5-0 ... and then there's BIGs Iowa.

Yeah. I bet we're 11-14. Clemson will jump 3-4 spots.

Iowa will probably appear around 22-24.

I think we'll be around 15. I think a lot of undefeated teams will jump up after what happened this weekend... I expect to see Northwestern, etc. ahead of us.

Yeah this is what I was thinking. ND will be around 15. ND will likely be on either side of NW

Stanford can't jump Northwestern else I think they would have jumped ND this week as well

Hinnen Drops ND

Hinnen Drops ND

Tomorrow's Top 25 Today: Major shakeup as four top-10 teams go down

Tomorrow's Top 25 Today: Major shakeup as four top-10 teams go down - CBSSports.com

Hinnen drops ND 11 spots behind USC and Stanford.

17. Notre Dame (6). The Irish's late comeback vs. Clemson fell just short, and suddenly Notre Dame's resume looks a little ... overinflated. Texas? Not so hot. Virginia? Hoo boy. Georgia Tech? A disaster. The Irish were dominant enough against the Longhorns and Jackets and competitive enough against Clemson that it's reasonable to assume they're a good team, but a steep drop might be in the offering anyway.

Overinflated? A 2 pt dog on the road in the rain losing by extra points to the udfeated team that's jumping up 6 slots for their victory ... over an "inflated" ND.

6. Clemson (12). Six spots for a two-point home win? When that win came over an undefeated Notre Dame and (as above) the other options aren't any more inspiring, why not?

Interesting logic.

F**k that guy. Who has USC beaten? They lost to the only decent-good team they've played this year and that was at home. And really...who has Staford beaten other than a USC team with an "overinflated resume."

That's not his point. The overinflated comment refers to the fact that we thought Georgia Tech was really good and that Texas and Virginia had a chance to be decent. I think our drop this week will have as much to do with how pathetic our "signature wins" are starting to look than how we played against Clemson.

You missed the point due to misquoting me. You omitted the Clemson quote and then applied my "interesting logic" comment to the wrong quote. It applied to both comments quoted.

I contrasted Hinnen's reasoning for dropping ND with his justification for bumping up Clemson so far. You dropped out the quote about Clemson rising 6 slots for beating an undefeated team that Hinnen later chides for playing a weak schedule. The praise in one justification is contradicted in the denigration in the other.

... and OSU still got 38.

Right. I don't know why the AP or coaches put out polls before week 6. It's so asinine. Preseason and early season polls negatively skew the rest of the season and they're based on nothing but speculation. Infuriating.

In good news. This is the first time since week 7 of 2010 that a SEC team isn't in the top 5. This makes me very happy.

Honestly idk how much better we could have hoped for. There are still tons of head to head matchups between teams ahead of us. I think we control our own destiny.

Unbelievable.

I mean honestly.

Ole Miss has a Florida Gator peter stamp on their foreheads.

Meanwhile, they rank ahead of us.

We outgain a good Clemson team, in most stats besides starting field position and turnovers (which doomed us), and we drop that much and sit behind an inflated team!?

I don't see a signature win on the schedule that would impress many people. USC and Stanford are guaranteed at least 2 losses if we beat them both, and each will more than likely finish with 3-4 losses and a very low ranking.

AP Top 25

1 Ohio State(38) 5-0 1444 —
2 TCU(5) 5-0 1371 2
3 Baylor(10) 4-0 1364 2
4 Michigan State 5-0 1291 2
5 Utah(7) 4-0 1254 5
6 Clemson 4-0 1217 6
7 LSU 4-0 1212 2
8 Alabama 4-1 1026 5
9 Texas A&M(1) 5-0 1009 5
10 Oklahoma 4-0 976 5
11 Florida 5-0 935 14
12 Florida State 4-0 922 1
13 Northwestern 5-0 753 3
14 Ole Miss 4-1 731 11
15 Notre Dame 4-1 721 9

Ole Miss drops 11, Florida rise 14! Overall positive 3 trend.

ND drops 9, Clemson rises 6. (We lost on a bad 2 pt conversion call.) Overall negative 3 trend in movement between the two teams.

"No SEC slant." My fucking ass.

Florida jumps 14 spots for creaming an overinflated Ole Miss that jumped 12 spots when they beat Alabama who jumped so much because anyone who beats Alabama must be tops in the country.

Only they didn't beat Alabama...Alabama beat Alabama. 5 turnovers, Ole Miss with a lucky bounce on a horrible pass for a TD, Ole Miss defense gives up over 500 yards of offense to Alabama and they win by 6. No way does that justify a jump into the top 3 when all the other teams in front of you also won and many of them in a greater fashion.

Now another SEC team comes in and beats Ole Miss (who snuck by Vandy just the weak before) and they leap frog several other undefeated teams. Yeah...no SEC bias.

2015 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 6 - ESPN

AP Poll

#15 ND dropped 9 slots with a 2 pt loss.

#14 Miss and UGA dropped 11 slots after being routed.

UCLA had the biggest drop 13 slots

UF leaped 14 slots with the thrashing of Miss.

#16 SU
#17 USC

Temple #29 and Navy #31 in ORV.

...Florida is really well coached, but they'd get slammed by UGA, and Ole Miss is a complete fraud.

As for Ohio State and Michigan State...One of them will be eaten by Jimmy Michigan...unreal THAT team is winning...they have much to prove yet, but they are playing some inspired ball.

TCU is an enigma...I thought Texas was going to hang with them...WoW. Have no idea if they make it.

Baylor = TCU...who knows.

Utah...not yet a believer. Too many times over the years they've tightened up and lost one they shouldn't have...guessing thats coming.

If LSU gets a passing game they can beat Bama...otherwise, ole No. 7 will carry this team the rest of the way...

Not yet a Texas A&M believer.

In the End I think its BAMA in the playoff, and then 3 other teams who manage to get some bounces...

ND is now playing for a New years 6...

I don't think so...

We need help now.

I can see the SEC beating each other up and having a two loss champ. That would be good.

Same with the PAC.

Between um/NW/MSU/OSU, I think the Big 10 becomes a mess too.

all is not lost, but we need help.
