The Koon curse, just like his bod squad's demise.

Could you imagine Notre Dame making the playoffs 2-3 times out of the next 5 years at the expense of the ACC? How would the football alliance with the ACC hold up to that?

Such an unjustifiably arrogant program and fan base. I hope we rock that f**king team.
Honestly if ND joined ACC as regular member I think we would have an easier path. We would start scheduling bullshit games OOC and roll.
Man Clemson is getting on my nerves so far. Such an unjustifiably arrogant program and fan base. I hope we rock that f**king team.
reading the clemson board, and they pretty much think the crowd noise alone will destroy ND let alone their NFL squad that ND has no chance against
They'd just beg harder for us. I'm feeling really good about this game. I think we come out and lay the hammer.

I will usually browse some opponent forums the week leading up to a game to get a better feel for the team and the mood of the fanbase. Like ND, most teams have a few active forums, each with a distinct character. From what I can tell, though, Clemson's internet fanbase consists almost entirely of low-down, dirty anti-Papists. I've seen multiple posts on multiple sites trying to organize people to disrupt ND's hotel overnight. Seriously? I hope you folks in South Carolina know Clemson fans with redeeming qualities, because I haven't encountered many online (with the exception being /r/cfb).
Dear Clemson, your corny stadium entrance isn't intimidating and no one cares about your blarney stone. Plenty of stadiums are loud for big games, so try to act like you've hosted one before.
I do the same and yep I agree their online fanbase seems to be full of idiots bar some decent folk on r/cfb. They are definitely overestimating the strength of their team. I haven't heard any kind of "oh im worried about our X/Y/Z against ND" which makes me think they aren't very humble sort of folks.
USA Today's Dan Wolken just published an article titled "Have a problem with Notre Dame's schedule? Put a blemish on it":
great article...just read it. I also got a flavor of the fan forums. WoW...classy.
I would love to hear how ND fans are treated in "Death Valley". I'm guessing there won't be any stories about how classy and nice the Clemson fans were.
Dabo...good hell son...We ALL know you want ND in the conference....but if this is how you think you get that done...man...I can't imagine how you got your wife. You and all the other bitch boys...have some self respect...its just awkward and embarrassing.
I'm sure it will be just fine, southern hospitality and all...
To be honest, I don't think there will be much hostilities toward Irish fans. The treatment of visiting fans in most venues in the south are pretty much myths. Yes there is an occasional fan or two that show their as*, but that is commonplace at most any venue.
I have been to every SEC stadium and find the fans to be accommodating and realize that the one or two are just that... usually drunk and just jaw jacking. LSU on a Saturday night will test your patience a bit but you learn to ignore it. Plenty enough other fans that are friendly that make up for it. Never been to Clemson but would expect the same.
Well it will at the very least burn a timeout before the first play.
Pretty cool that you've been to every SEC stadium. How would you rank the stadium in terms of nicest, and secondly the 'home field advantage'?
I personally like Ole Miss the best. The Grove is pretty sweet and the campus is old but historical. The home field advantage goes to LSU on a Saturday night. Them folks are crazy and the way the stadium is built it's like the noise just freaking echoes. Their stadium is not so nice and needs some updating. Vandy has the worst facilities IMO even though the Nashville area is sweet. The Aggies stadium upgrades are unreal and they will probably have the best stadium when they get done - even though they apparently are hosing their season ticket holders to pay for some of it.
Good stuff, I'm jealous. I'm planning to go to the 2016 Bama vs LSU game at death valley next year. I'm obviously Irish, and my friend is Buckeye, so we're going to visit NO and take in our first ever SEC game just for the experience. Would be awesome if you and your wife were there to tailgate with!

Here's the thing about "SEC fans"...f**k them. Unless you are an Alabama fan, a Florida fan, an Auburn fan, or even a LSU fan you don't have a lot to be arrogant about either. You don't get to be a fan of some choke artist program like UGA or Tennessee, or some bottom dweller program like Vandy or Kentucky and puff your because other programs in your conference are good. I'm not impressed that you got smashed by Alabama on their way to the NC.Said every SEC fan in the last decade about us...
It's funny that you say that, I've been to every SEC stadium before the conference expansion and I thought Ole Miss was very overrated. Them and Georgia are both very meh to me as a stadium.
Also the Grove is average to me.
