Well that, and the English...

Actually it is a rumor that the Irish wanted to conquer the world.

All they wanted was to be left in peace, and have sex with women everywhere, around the world!

The myths of the Hy Many turn out to be quite accurate!

The latest information released from genetic studies show that the oldest Irish residents are probably descended from Iberian fishermen, originating in the Basque region of Spain traveling to Ireland about 10,000 years ago.

These folk brought dark hair and blue eyes, along with tall athletic builds. They also brought a certain genetic mutation from around 40 to 50,000 years ago, red hair!

Since then :

It looks like the Irish distributed the red hair to those who became well known for it, not the other way around!

The biggest Irish foray into conquest were the fruits of the Kingdom of Dalriada, the settlement of Scotland, and that that led to quite a secondary distribution down to what was left of Roman governed England!

In fact, it appears that the average Britain, like the average Scott has a more 'Irish' genetic makeup that Angle or Saxon!

So are you telling me that with all four of my grandparents coming over to the States from Ireland...that I might not be 100% Irish? Dang! Sorry to derail the thread...apologies.

Dumb question for you guys who are much more lored with recruiting history than I:

When a recruit commits to a school then visits your school on the weekend that you happen to be hosting the school he originally committed to....is that really anything more than him seeing the team he committed to in action? I mean, how has this historically gone for ND in cases like this?

It's kinda like after a recent break up and you see your ex all over some other dude at a party. It sucks but there ain't anything you can do about it.

not sure what the previous cases are..however he had ND leading at 1 point, then committed to usc, then ND started getting back into it, then usc has been swinging back w/ the momentum....if he is truly torn between the 2, he will see both in action and hoping we can come out on top...it also happens to be ND's biggest home game

You can beat that other dude's ass! That's what I'm hoping that ND does in this case. Wherever Daelin ends up, we will always have that ass whooping to remember.

I hope we curb stomp them. I don't believe it'll happen but I'd love to see a monster Irish offensive performance and a straight defensive beatdown.

Does anyone else remember Agholor just laying on the ground cringing in pain after KVR shoulder kicked him in the breather box?

His most recent comments on rivals- he says all the right things about the Trojans but behind the scenes Notre Dame is very much in the picture I hope.

"We had went on a visit and that visit really solidified everything for mom," Hayes said. "She felt very comfortable with the coaching staff and with the whole idea of me going out, 100-percent. Once I got 100-percent confirmation from mom, because I'm already on board, it was really just making sure mom was real comfortable with the decision. So once she gave me the go ahead, we printed out the papers, signed them and gave them to Coach Sark."

It's not a big deal from his end, but He's making it sound like he signed his LOI

see Seantrell Henderson

all usc, all day-every day.

all the things I hear about this kid is a "rinse and repeat" situation.

I've heard this story before, and it ends up USC.

......

he loves the attention + he loves to talk = usc

Dude is still living up the attention...he loves it. such a trait of a sc-type

Wonder if mom was behind the ND momentum and not so much Daelin.

Now unless he is saying something 100% different to the coaching staff, I cannot fathom why ND would waste the time and resources on him with this statement. Sounds to me like he just wants red carpet treatment on someone elses dime while he can still get it and go back to his original plan. Seems like the guy who has a stead girlfriend yet runs over and bangs the girl down the street and when she comes knocking the next day, stands their with his girlfriend and acts like nothing happened.

I think in this case it might be worth the gamble...but I'm concerned that he might negatively impact others visiting on the same weekend. It's going to be electric at that game, hopefully he doesn't detract from that if he is indeed "all-in" with USC. Now...if we crush USC right before his eyes it doesn't matter what he says or does with the other recruits.

completely different group of kids that are coming to this usc then came a few years ago...there isn't the pro-usc group....hell there isn't a pro-georgia one in their either...most of the recruits coming are sporadic

Imagine a defense with two OLBs being Daelin and Claypool (I know, WR), and MLB being Coney/Morgan.

I think when Schmidt graduates they will just eliminate the MLB position because Joe is the only one able to do it apparently...

Coney has been playing Jaylon's spot ( I believe) as a backup with Morgan taking Schmidt's spot.
