Where's the clip of Parker putting Gary on the ground?
See, and that is the point. Kramer, though he only did an 85 on his SPARQ, which is pretty outstanding for a lineman, has been exhibiting nearly flawless footwork this week. The first day they said he had some adjustment to make for the speed of the defenders, but everyone was having a problem getting around him.
You saw Parker's wins, and he won big when he won. But he also lost some BIG!
Kramer didn't get rocked once, which shows maturity and good technique.
Also Kramer plays longer and bigger to work around, where Parker seems to have the drive off the ball, down.
Apples and oranges.
I am thinking that Parker took the rep entirely away from Gary. When an offensive lineman "stalemates" a defender like that it is the biggest win possible less a pancake. Gary's frustration showed, and he threw Parker down after the play. They had to keep Parker off of Gary, and Gary really looked like he didn't want anymore of that!
FWIW, that was the rodeo drill that we've all come to know and love from UND.com videos ex the RB coming out of the backfield.
Raise your hand if when you played football that drill was called the Oklahoma drill. Just curious if my name for it is regional (Tennessee).

There wasnt a play where Gary ended up on the ground. The play before Gary made Parker look like a child. Lol. It shows Parker's competivness to come right back and give it back to Gary.
Parker didna lot better than I expected but as previously mentioned, the consistency in pass pro isnt comparable to Kraemer right now. Thats the diff on why Parker is rated lower and Kraemer is one of the nations elite. Not a knock on Parker. He had a damn good week.
Yes, everybody, it is the Oklahoma drill, but it's not completely uncommon to be given a different name (especially in college) due to it being named after another university/school.
Honestly how long would Parker have to wait to play at ND? junior year?
In '18, I'd guess barring injuries and transfers / decommittments it's Bars Nelson, Hoge, Kramer, Eichenberg (or Eichenberg, Kramer) left to right which would mean '19 is the first year Parker could be a starter with Bars, Nelson and maybe Hoge leaving but he'll have to find his place with a combination of (maybe) Hoge, Kramer, Eichenberg, Byrne, Mustipher, Ruhland, (Maybe Tillery if he switches back), Gibbons and all the other recruits they bring in, which will be an impressive list in 2017.
When will he play? Depending on what that means probably starting in '16 in some limited back-up duty.
.
From Parker's Dad, Wow!
