I'm still heartbroken that Darius Walker left with another year of eligibility. :(

Damnit, why did you have to bring that up.

Ryan Grant!!!!!!! (Remember that madness??)

I actually liked Ryan Grant. I thought it was cool he got called up from the practice squad for the Packers several years ago and made a name for himself. Not quite as electric as Julius Jones, but I think he'd fight for yards like Cam. He did a pretty good job filling in for Jones while he was out. Rees is to Golson as Ryan Grant is to Julius Jones.

I just remember the Grant/Jones thing being like Notre Dame's version on Team Jacob vs Team Edward

I'm getting a Rocket vibe from this cat.

I'm not talking speed or athleticism similarities, but Rocket's when we got our swagger.

We need a kid or three more like Flex.

"I am 30 years old and ND's last National Championship is a vague memory. To a 17 year old kid trying to decide on a college, ND having rings is about as equivalent to you or I reading about or being told about how great the 1908 Cubs were."

The same can be said about Ohio State before this year. Most of these kids 4-5 years old when the Bucks took down Miami, so personally doubt they remember it all that well, if at all. What they probably remember better is O$U getting smacked in 2006 and 2007 NCG's. College Football is cyclical.

I have to disagree. OSU won the most BCS bowls all time, and has reached double digit wins 11 of the last 13 seasons. They are currently the epitome of sustained success, along with a very small group of counterparts.

Is there a reason why he is not listed with the other signees on the front page? I'm sure it's just an oversight but ESB is listed and he announced after. Just curious and kind of whining about it lol.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the link!

This kid seems to have a more than acceptable attitude, as well as a decent head on his shoulders.

Dexter Williams, RB, Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish have good running backs on campus, but Williams can flat-out fly (4.41 consistently in the 40-yard dash). He’s physically ready to go and with a good summer, he can contend for carries. This is going to be a Notre Dame team that can run the football and Williams could be a big part of that.

Does he really run a 4.41? Didn't look like it on film

High school 4.4s turn into 4.6s at the Combine. I think he'll be good, but I'd be surprised if he's getting anything other than mop-up carries barring an injury to Prosise, Folston, or Bryant.

Kelly said Williams was the only player that played with heart, emotion, fire today. I tend to agree to some extent, although I thought Morgan and Coney had decent games.

Vaughn also. Actually Sebastian played with fire I thought the little bit of time he was in.

Starter Williams, Vaughn and Sebastian next week.

He was the only one that showed emotion, yet so few looks on the field.....

Makes sense
