With the way things are leaning for Liam, Cary, and Julian, things are definitely heating up. Carlton is going to be worn out. Good to be Irish right now.

Well then... I'll consider it a happy birthday commitment for me!

The chatter on this seems "low" considering we could be adding a four-star today...are we not excited? I think this will be a great start to the defensive recruiting effort this cycle!

Couldn't agree more! Landing this kid would be an outstanding way to start the defensive line recruiting this cycle!

I think it's huge. He looks legit and has a non-stop motor. Getting a top 15 DE this early in the cycle is awesome. Now I just want a top 15 secondary prospect to join him.

That'll build momentum but more importantly, allow the staff to be selective with offers for the rest of the year. We need more elite S/CB/DEs and the start to this class gives me some hope for accomplishing that.

I don't know where a defensive line could be more battle tested than at ND going against HH's unit.

Hard to be excited about a recruit in this day and age until he's on the field for you.

i think its due to being almost a lock from the start so it wasn't anything not expected
Between Julian and Romeo who is/was the better prospect?

Julian is the better prospect coming out of high school and being college ready...Romeo was always considered extremely raw coming out

I honestly think that there's a lack of chatter because of a lack of production from big bro. If this were the younger Tuitt I feel like there'd be more chatter.

Kid looks like a legit prospect. Excited for what the next two weeks will bring to ND recruiting.

Plus he's smaller. Not clear how big he is going to get.

But if offer lists mean anything, which they do, the kid is legit.

He's the same height as Romeo maybe even a tad taller. There's a picture with Romeo in cleats standing next to Julian at a practice and Julian is the same height as Romeo. However, he does seem to have a smaller frame and weighs less than Romeo at a similar stage.

This is exactly it. He's smaller than Romeo who was originally more of an OLB than DE anyways, and seems to have hit a wall in terms of development. If Romeo had played better last year at DE then people would be amped up about a more highly rated family member.

So unlike Nick Martin, where people were excited that he might be underrated like his brother and make a huge impact, people are instead stuck hoping he's better than his older brother and not just a "good" starter but a "great" starter.

Haha, the Michigan Rivals writer Tim Sullivan put together an article on Julian with the general premise being he's deciding for ND this evening but has his quotes about other schools. However, at the end he writes "The Wolverines can remain hopeful, even if U-M isn't Okwara's choice this evening."

Congrats Julian!

Also, should be noted that he's thinking of enrolling early. Nothing set but mentioned it as a possibility to BGI.

I came here to welcome Julian and now I find myself staring at Ndaccounts' post and I've lost my words.
