I wonder if he would consider coming back now? I know he's projected to go pretty early, but he's not gonna be able to do any testing now for NFL teams.

Same break that derailed Malik and Javon's careers. Hopefully he can snap back asap.

Good luck Capt Chaos!

Such a disappointing year for him. Sucks he got hurt to end his time at ND. He was such a ghost for much of the season.

I doubt he comes back and risks another injury that could impact his potential earnings. I think NFL teams have a big enough sample size.

Edit: Forgot he was out of eligibility.

Sucks. I guess any shot he had at the first round is out the window now. He needs to work hard and get that big second contract now.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day for me was seeing Christian Jones as the team’s primary jack linebacker for the day. That was a role many were expecting either Austin Bryant or rookie Julian Okwara to take over. Unfortunately, Bryant remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and the Lions are bringing Okwara along slowly.

I want to talk about Okwara a little more, because he was going to be my main focus on Tuesday. During individual drills, Okwara was mostly repping with special teams and not the linebackers. He got a fair amount of second and/or third-team jack linebacker reps, but it appears the Lions are trying to get him ready for a special teams role first and will rotate him into the regular defense later.

I've been a Lions fan since the 1960s. They have a plan that they have followed since their last NFL championship in the 1950s.

STEP 1. Unload your most talented players.
STEP 2. Fire the coach.
STEP 3. Hire a new coach.
STEP 4. Rebuild the team until it reaches mediocrity.
STEP 5. Repeat steps 1 thru 4 over and over again.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">4. Julian Okwara found another gear today. There wasn't an OT who could contain him, in 1-on-1s or 11-on-11. He beat Crosby twice during the former, then blew past Vaitai in the latter. His burst is *legit* -- no surprise, but fun to see it.</p>— Chris Burke (@ChrisBurkeNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChrisBurkeNFL/status/1296888351908401153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 21, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Ok but do the lions have any noteworthy tackles? I'm being serious

This doesn't surprise me. Okwara is a first round talent. That was an awesome pick by the Lions. I'm still surprised he fell that far.

Lol. No. The Lions line is terrible. That’s not to say that Okwara beating them isn’t impressive.

Decker is OK if he isn’t injured.

likely starting a rookie at LG, Ragnow at C is pretty good and as we agree Decker is ok. Right side is a total ??? though
