Exactly. He made a tackle. A clean, perfect, the way a player is taught, tackle.

Could have used better wording for sure. LOL

Hard telling. BK isn't one to misspeak much. If he is joking about a kid being too nice in a press conference, I would guarantee he has got on the kid about it to his face.

The most concerning thing I read in the tweet updates was how defense has still been missing assignments.

We are athletic enough to miss assignments and still stop teams like Rice, Purdue, Syracuse.

We miss assignments at the rate BK makes it sound against Stanford, FSU, USC and its going to be a shoot out.

The one thing Stanford has done well since their rise has been playing assignment football.

I don't have a problem with Kelly jokingly saying that/calling Romeo out. I think that light hearted conflict is good for a coach/player relationship.

Seems like a bunch of lies. Not the best OL they've had in recent years. Their TEs are worse than recent years. Their QB is worse than Luck by a country mile. These are the worst RBs they've had recently. Their WRs are comparable. Their front 7 is comparable. Their back 4 is probably the best they've had.

So no... not even close to the most talented Stanford team they've had.

I think he was referring to individual positions, not as a group. You can be extremely talented as individuals but not perform to standards as a group. Said that at individual positions, the skill set has been better than before. Just has not performed to expectations.

My biggest key to this game is whether the Irish can play in front of the chains. If EG is put in second and long, I think that plays directly in to Stanford's defensive gameplan. Don't think the Irish need 4-5 yards every time on first down, but second and long makes it tough.

7 reasons ND wins.

Skov, Murphy, Tarpley, Reynolds, Mauro and Gaffney are gone and Golson is back.

I'll answer before it's asked: Advantage Stanford.

Rain would help Stanford. We'll surely be passing more than the Cardinal.

Caveat... think rain increases the likelihood of more Stanford implosions.

Lolz if the auld grass field was still in i'd be alot more worried. Rain doesn't really affect QB's, wind is worse

Being a California team they may fear the liquid falling from the sky and run back to the locker room.

Hopefully that front gets through there a few hours earlier than expected. As of now looks like low 50's, intermittent showers and 20 mph winds from the WNW but shifting to the W, then SW which will stop any lake induced precip. Another model has it 55, partly sunny with 10mph winds. Its right on the cusp between perfect football weather and misery. Welcome to Michiana.
