Eifert, who has emerged as a key receiving target for Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, suffered a gruesome right elbow injury in Sunday's win over Baltimore and did not return. Speculation is that Eifert may have dislocated the elbow, which often takes at least at least 8-10 weeks for a full recovery. In at least 15 percent of cases, elbow dislocations may be associated with nerve injuries that can result in long-term deficits without prompt treatment, which includes reduction of the joint (putting the bones back in place, either manually or surgically). Furthermore, compartment syndrome, a condition in which pressure from swelling or internal bleeding results in severe pain or decreased blood flow, may develop in the forearm or biceps requiring emergency surgery.

While the team awaits a final prognosis for Eifert's recovery, it will look to long-time Bengal Jermaine Gresham to take more snaps with the offense.

Seen the tweet this morning and was going to post it to find said video. Got too lazy.

That said, let's get the video in here.

That video is buried deep in the rumored violations thread.

As the standalone #1 TE I think this should finally be his year. He'll be a late round TE pick for me in fantasy.

His presence, and hopefully the emergence of one of the rookies as a solid #2, should do wonders for the Bengals offense. You could tell after the first game last year just how much his injury impacted their desired offensive strategy.

With Hill/Bernard in the backfield and AJ Green on the outside, Eifert should be a monster as a safety blanket for Andy Dalton... and trust me, Dalton will need some easy stuff in the middle and underneath with his inconsistencies.

Sounds like it and he's balling out in camp again. He was very impressive last offseason as well but was injured right away. If he stays healthy I expect him to be very productive.

He really is the prototype catching TE. There's not a whole lot of answers for a guy who is 6'6", great hands and the ability to high point balls.

Fantasy value? Unproven so seems like a good late round flyer. Kyle Rudolph was a perpetual disappointment last year.

Another stud who was only a 3star athlete. I'd take him and Julian Edelman all day long.
