Fuck Pat Haden. What he did Saturday was a disgrace. This game might have some big implications for the bowl season. They have some talent but no depth.

He went down to the field to argue an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that was called on Sarkisian for being in the wrong area on the field during the game. I don't think that. Pat Haden is a bad guy, but that was absolutely classless. AD's don't do that. Could you imagine if Jack went to the field and argued a call with the refs? Very strange indeed.

Haden was way out of line. I don't recall ever liking that guy.

I was thoroughly unimpressed with USC on Saturday. I feel like they're being given way too much credit (especially Kessler) for beating a Stanford team that was constantly shooting themselves in the foot all game. USC's offense looks better than last and their defense is obviously athletic as hell. But this team has zero depth and by year's end, they'll be rolling out 40 guys against ND. I don't mean to sound arrogant or overconfident, but they're going to have to show out a lot more than these last two weeks before I become worried about this game. Obviously a lot can happen between now and Nov, but the way ND is playing right now, I don't think the Trojans have a shot in hell.

USC was not very impressive and neither was Stanford. I can see the potential for the Trojans to be a much better team by the time the Irish come calling, but like you said, depth will be an issue for them. And Stanford sure didn't look like the usual Stanford teams of the past.

Yea, that game was built up to be a clash of two west coast powers. The result was a rather boring game as neither played well. I agree, both teams are probably better than what they showed on Saturday.

The worst part of the whole ordeal was that Sark sent him a text to come down and argue for him. And Haden did it! The entire scene was totally bizarre.

What's even more bizarre is that they were saying a compliance officer actually sent the text. You know, the text that was non-compliant with conference rules.

Yeah, that Fresno State-Utah game, makes me unimpressed with how USC has looked so far. They're very fortunate to be 1-1 right now. I think Stanford has the potential to be better, whereas I'm not so sure with USC. Their depth is absolutely atrocious, and that will almost definitely play a factor against us in the final week. Stanford made a TON of mistakes against the Trojans. If they play like that against us, they're gonna get destroyed. If they clean it up, I still see us winning, but that offensive line is just plain nasty.

IMO this game has a good chance of determining whether or not we make the playoff. I think there is a 50/50 shot we go into that game 10-1 with our only loss being @ FSU

I would have agreed with you two weeks ago. Stanford, USC and even FSU have all unimpressed (just from our schedule, 'Bama and UCLA have been 'meh' also).

Who has impressed? Notre Dame.

EDIT: And it's going to be a LONG season for SCum. They have no depth and are an injury or two away from having some serious mismatches on the field come late November.
