Loy believes OSU. ND battle

“At Notre Dame, it’s just the tradition,” Tucky said. “I’m a Catholic and it’s a great institution. It’s an amazing education and just the football tradition. I just love it.”

Very complimentary thoughts from the young man. Let's hope that he visits at some point, and wants on board.

He's already visited twice and will be back for a camp in two weeks. Needs an offer though.
I must have skimmed over that tidbit of information. Either way, hopefully the coaches offer if they like what they see. It would be nice to win another battle with ole' Urbie.

We didn't offer at camp. He ran a 4.58 40 at camp but the staff said that they want to see him play LB in a game before offering. He'll be transitioning to OLB in his teams 3-4 this year so we should be able to see that right away. I'd like to see us offer this kid ASAP as I think its clear he has the speed to play OLB.

I totally get this mindset, and I believe it is better for us in the long-run of talent evaluation. I just wonder how many guys get frustrated and give up on ND because they don't get the early offers. Still want to see him offered, and I hope we don't wait too long for him.

I would be curious to see this as well.

I think if they are, it is misguided. Not getting an offer before you play your junior year of football shouldn't be a big deal.

No kid should ever give up. Work harder.

I like just about everything about this kid.

(Hope he doesn't move to California just after he commits to SC!)

Wow, the quotes from Ethan in that article sound very promising. Hopefully he plays well at LB this year and gets the offer from us. Then it would only be a matter of time til he moves to Cali and commits to USC.

But seriously...that interview sounds great. I hope he plays well this year and earns the offers he's looking for. Would like to see him Irish just based off the way he spoke of ND in that article.

...and fools seldom differ :smilewink

No, he didn't say that, because he has seen all kinds of fools saying all kinds of things. But he does have high regard for a true smart ass! Cheers!

Sounds like a good kid. I would love for him to be a part of the class. Seems athletic as well, shoudl be a decent pick up at OLB if he commits.

Not decent... this kid is gonna be Luke Kuechly 2.0.

Next to Malik Henry, this is my top want for '16.

Someone in the Michigan game day thread said he was just offered. I can tell you that if Tuckey does have an offer from us we'll probably be in very good shape with him. His grandpa is a big tOSU fan, but his father is a deacon and Irish if I recall. My grandfather ran a business with his grandfather, that's all I've heard though.

[EDIT] Turns out whoever said it in the gameday thread was mistaken, he doesn't have an offer yet.

Yeah, I wasn't the one that said it, I'm just repeating what someone said in the game day thread. I do hope he gets an offer though, he's a good kid from an awesome family.
