Your English is great, which is why your mistake stands out and sounds funny to a native speaker's ear. Talent can be a countable or uncountable noun, depending on it's usage. In this case you used it as an uncountable noun (talent as a concept, not the individual talents on the team), which takes much instead of many. You also left out a subject for the verb in the second clause. It would have worked well.
