Readmission board meets today on Daniels.

Notre Dame’s re-enrollment board is scheduled to meet Thursday to discuss, among other things, Irish wide receiver DaVaris Daniels and his academic standing.
Senior wide receiver DaVaris Daniels missed spring practice becuase of an academic suspension.
Daniels missed the spring semester because of an academic problem. He spent the past several months in the Chicago suburb, his home, training. He is excepted to be back in school and with the Irish football team in June. An official announcement about Daniels’ re-enrollment will likely come in the next week or two, a Notre Dame spokesman said.
Head coach Brian Kelly, speaking on the assumption that Daniels is cleared to return to school, said he expects his senior wide receiver to be fully up to speed by the time Notre Dame takes the field for training camp in August.
“He’ll be, I believe, able to fully acclimate back with his summer work.,” Kelly said at his annual golf charity event south of Chicago on Thursday morning. New NCAA rules that allow coaches to spend more time with players during the summer and watch two hours of film per week with the team will help Daniels play catch-up.
“Because we’ll have that individual face time with him this summer I have no question that we’ll be able to bring him back in without any problems.”
Daniels will be Notre Dame’s most experienced receiver if he returns next fall. He made 49 catches for 745 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
The athletic 6-foot-2 senior has long been touted as a potential game-changing wide receiver by the Notre Dame coaching staff. He has shown spurts of promising production — six catches for 115 yards against Alabama in the 2012 BCS title game, for example — but has yet to consistently separate himself as a premiere college pass catcher.
Nagging injuries kept Daniels from playing at full health in each of the last two season. A few months spent getting bigger and stronger should help prevent some of those problems. In an interview with CBS Sports in February, Daniels admitted that he also lacked a consistent work ethic off the field. Kelly said he thinks the semester hiatus will help Daniels develop a more pronounced sense of urgency.
“It’s a work in progress for him,” Kelly said. “He’s a smart kid that knows that he’s on the clock now. He’s gotta walk the line. He’s gotta do things the right way. It’s not just Notre Dame. It’s his career. It’s everything now. I think he knows that all eyes are on him.”
The suspension for Daniels came shortly after friend and quarterback Everett Golson was re-instated from his own academic-related separation from the university. Notre Dame completed its final exams last Friday. Kelly said he didn’t know of any other forthcoming classroom issues on his roster.
“To my knowledge we’re good,” he said. “We got good news.”

Might not even be the best receiver on the team IMO
Just out of curiosity, who would you put ahead of him? I think Daniels offers a more complete package than any other WR on the roster. He probably isn't the #1 in any area, but I think when you look at athleticism, routes, ball skills and experience, he's the best overall.
It's been said before that Chris Brown has improved his route running and there's no question that he's the fastest receiver on the team. I think he will benefit the most with having Golson as the quarterback because Golson will be able to get it to him on the deep ball. Brown couldn't go deep last year because Rees physically couldn't get it to him.
I'm not saying Brown is definitely the best receiver on the team, but I think he could beat out Daniels for the #1 receiver spot

Haven't seen anything from Brown yet that tells me he's on the same level as DD. I hope he actually rises to that level. Having two guys with that kind of talent would make ND's offense pretty great.
I don't think Brown has been given the opportunity to show us he's on the same level as DD. He was a freshman two years ago, so I wasn't expecting much from him that year. Last year, he was catching balls from a high school arm so I think that significantly limited him from showing what he could really do.
I think we will be very pleased with CB's productivity by the end of the year
I hope you are right. I'd love to see both of them light it up this fall.

DGB, Cooper, Addison, Agholor, Greene and Lockett off the top of my mind I would take over Daniels. Love him but definitely not Top 3 IMO.
