I think he'll be the guy in charge of keeping the dry erase board up to date.

Hell, I'd do it for 48K a year – with health, dental, a pension, season tickets to football and basketball games, the freedom to audit any damn class I please free of charge and all the Huddle Burgers I could eat before they kill me.

Will 2015 guys get them? I would like to see Hilliard and Cornell get a bump in attention.

Just seems to me that recruiting for UT or Alabama would be world's different than for Notre Dame?

The only difference I really see are the kids that are already academically challenged are off the board. Other than that, they put their pants on one leg at a time, like to listen to the same music and eat Taco Bell at 2:00AM.

I like the hire, but I wonder if he'll hang around for more than 2 years? Especially if someone is offering $5K more a year. He's young and youngens' tend to look at money first when it comes to jobs.

If I was an early commit, I'd be demanding my own pot of gold. How cool would it be to have 477 pictures of former ND greats.

Gosh how could there be 9 MORE to come?? Pot o' Gold to everyone left on the board? I mean we can't take but half that many more anyway. Weird.

What AC said plus the fact that we go after more people than available slots, because we know we won't get them all.

I'm fine with them going to everyone on our board. Like was said, we're not getting all of them, but what does that say to an uncommitted prospect that doesn't get one of these things?

I also think we are way overthinking the cost/time associated with this stuff. We have an entire team built around doing this. Someone (possibly Sandlin) is sitting around for a couple hours a day putting these things together and getting paid quite well to do so. I would trade them jobs in a hot second.

Virginia coah Mike London taking opposite approach to #PotOfGold

Recruiting has become an art form.

It’s not just about buttering up a potential recruit, it’s about grabbing their attention. With recruits often having hundreds of letters pouring into their mailboxes, a coaching staff needs to do its best to stand out.

Enter Virginia coach Mike London.

London sent 2014 commit Jeffrey Farrar, a three-star athlete from Upland, Calif., a recruiting letter that just said: “YOU”

If London's recruiting letters are like his gameplan it explains his 2-10 season and 18-31, 4 year record. The buyout on his $2.6 million/year salary is the only reason he still has a job.

Am I the only one that thinks that J.R. Sandlin showed up on my porch with a copy of "The Watchtower" last week?
