I have never seen a player in which so many people have different opinions on a guys draft stock. I personally think he is a 4th/5th rounder if he comes out after this season

Are you guys completely forgetting how pass-happy the League is? Aaron is a pass rush specialist. Somebody will take a chance on getting a headcase in order to get a talented kid who can get after the QB. He won't be an every down DE, and that'll hurt his draft stock. But he'll definitely get drafted based on his pass rushing skills. There's a premium on those kind of DL in the NFL now.

Only the small fact that he currently sucks at everything. He is just another USF player out there. I hope the Colts dont waste a 7th round pick on him. He is not the player he use to be. He is having an entire year of being a mediocre USF player with a terrible attitude.

I'm okay with them taking a chance with him if it's round 5 or later.

I just don't see the work ethics or discipline for this young man to be considered in the first 3-4 rounds. Might be a late round steal/ might not ever pan out...

Since this has turned into the transfer/decommit dumping ground:

There is a possibility (about the same as ours: slim, but there) Houston goes to a BCS bowl, and the entire nation learns the name Greenberry.

Greenberry is a tremendous talent, but there's no use even wondering about it let alone fretting; it became clearly obvious that we were never seriously in his plans.

Plus, Greenberry never seemed to present himself like a Notre Dame-type student to me. I believe that he is exactly where he needs to be to play football, get noticed, and go pro.

I don't think that's true at all. I mean, he was committed to us and 'repped' us all of the time at camps.

I thought it was that he didn't have his academics in order and it wasn't known one way or another until late in the cycle?

And if he didn't qualify, he didn't qualify. But I don't recall any character concerns with him, so I don't know where you're getting this.

Does that mean "test" waters, hear "fifth round or lower" and stay put for another year? Or just dive in and declare?

Never can tell...but I think if he shows at the combine having regained some of his former physique...and works out well...he'll go 3-4. If he does not start to bulk up...he may not get drafted...but I'm guessing someone will take a flyer on him in the 6th...

Maybe. But he's got to decide before he gets to the combine. Seems like he could use another year to refine his game, though I've no sense of the coaching he's getting at USF.

I don't think another year will refine anything. He's gotten softer each year since he left. Less muscle mass, bigger gut. Sad stuff.

Agreed...If he's going to the NFAL, he will disappear to a pro development camp. As far as coaching...I don't know either...but someone of his physical gifts should be able to make a better showing regardless of coaching. I agree, he should stay and focus hard on training, and consistency, he needs to put up some numbers and gain some weight to be a legitimate 2nd rounder.

Someone earlier said he has majored in bad decisions. I expect this to be another one.
