She tweeted about getting accepted to Indiana. Then he retweeted it, and followed it up by saying "one more piece to the puzzle for McKenzie, now he just needs to get his grades and scores up" or something to that effect. I think the tweets are embedded on the previous page.

Then McKenzie immediately tweeted for ND fans to please stop tweeting at and about him. Because... you know... I'm sure he enjoyed grown men creeping on his girlfriend's plans, and calling out his academics.

GB here it is. His timeline is also littered with tweets about McKenzie, etc. in previous days... although he is going through and cleaning it up now.

I get that side of it (sometimes, even that can be "too much"), the part that is irritating is when he pretends to speak for the entire fanbase, when he acts like the coaching staff/recruiting coordinators have no idea who to go after, and when he tweets as if he's a reporter. It's one thing to say congrats, it's another to tweet ridiculous things 24/7 and "represent" the ND fanbase.

If that's the case, he is one committed SOB.

He's constantly tweeting, RTing, mentioning everything related to ND football.

At first, I thought it was cool to see such an avid, passionate fan

But as time passed, it just became more and more sad...

that's all he does. I don't think he has a job or even sleeps...

I seriously just want to ask this guy who the hell he thinks he is. Because he thinks he's somebody, but he's a complete nobody. He's a knowledgeable fan, but he does nothing productive with his fanhood like make cool fan videos or write interesting things ... no, he expresses his fanhood just by being a pest. It really is sad, in a can't-look-away kind of way.

Could not agree more with these posts. And, heck, we can lump messages boards in there with it IMO. While we all frequent this one and have some good discussion, some of the lack of civility on these boards (including IE) is astonishing. I have to believe that face-to-face interactions with people would not erupt into the kind of name calling and attempts at public humiliation that you can find without even trying on many of these boards, and across social media as a whole. It is really a sad commentary on our society.

Disagree- it's not the asylum, it's the inmates. Plenty of people have been able to utilize these outlets quite responsibly and appropriately.
