According to rivals he already told Michigan, no thanks.
Saw that as well and hope it's the case.

Missouri fans are very active on his timeline. Guess they were feeling a little nervous with the new offers.... I don't know how much of a shot we have here.
According to II, he was offered by Michigan or they were at least close to offering and he said that he wasn't interested.
Where did you go to high? Niles? Dowagiac? I went to Lawton. Oh and you are correct with he talent being pretty crap!
Kid definitely looks athletic, and I would love to have a kid near my hometown get a chance to play for the Irish, but I hope his offer isn't actionable quite yet.
I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW BAD HIS COMPETITION IS.
We're talking about teams with kids that have never played football. 5'7" middle linebackers and typically reeeeallly bad coaching. This kid may end up being a really good player, but he would get to campus with an extremely low football IQ, non existent technique and have to adjust to playing other talented kids. Right now, he is a rare athlete that is playing against kids that should never step on a field with an athlete of his caliber.
I'm serious...
im sure they said the same about Larry Bird when came out of French Lick, IN....just sayin!
seriously though i am torn on the competiion argment i see both sides
Didn't Jaylon smith play some poor talent in high school....???

Not sure if people had seen his senior year film - I had only seen his junior year myself. I don't care if those are Powderpuff girl players he is going against, that is some impressive athleticism, tenacity and aggressiveness he is showing for a guy with his size and frame.
I know some people hate offers out late to lower rated guys, but you catch teach 6'5 - 6'6 with that speed and aggressiveness. Could be a really, really nice late 'sleeper' pickup.
Williams competition isn't even in the same atmosphere as Jaylons. Williams probably played against (not faced on the line, just on the team he played) one or two kids that will play any level of college football. He certainly didn't play any D1 talent.
Shoot... A lot of the kids he faced were under 200 pounds.
Not sure this is the case anymore. When you were in school Berrien Springs was in the Lakeland Conference but they are in the Wolverine conference now with bigger, more talented teams like Paw Paw, Plainwell, Otsego, Vicksburg, Three Rivers, etc

Competition is pretty overrated as a determining factor in my opinion. Yes, it's nice when the players dominate at larger schools and whatnot, but physical ability is physical ability no matter where you are.
While there is certainly an advantage to playing against better competition, I would argue that it only makes a prospect further along in the learning curve, but as we all know "projects" happen from big schools and little schools..
OK I gotta ask, there is a school named Paw Paw? What's their nickname?
