haha... so you thought calling him a "likely transfer" wouldn't bring up his status?

That's silly.

Obviously it would bring up his 'status' because it played to my point, but I don't intent to invoke a debate about it.

If anyone wants to debate about Greg Bryant today, take a lap and then dive into a pool.

It's USC day!

Go Irish!

Is this the first time in the BK era that an Alabama commit has visited ND?

I'm gonna laugh in two years when Greg Bryant is our starting RB at you Kue. And if he's not you can laugh at me.

Laugh all you want, I would be ecstatic if that happened.

I don't know why you guys keep talking about Bryant on USC day.

Come on!

Interesting you heard some info on most recruit's time this weekend but, nothing on Bo seemed to be covered yet atleast.

That's because he isn't leaving until tomorrow. You have only heard updates on players who have left.

Hopefully...I noticed the California kids were a bit quiet too. Hopefully they are staying off the phones and getting the fullest of the experience at south bend.

This is one of those kids that, in my opinion, we need to get some sort of an commitment between him and the coaches sown up this weekend. Otherwise, it'll be back down to Bama where he'll hear nothing from the SEC coaches but how he'll struggle to make it in class, he'll waste his talent, how cold it is, and how hard it will be for him up there but how easy it will be down here.

Basically we need a home run, unless this kid is just really mature and can see through the local bias easily. Hell even Tuitt got talked into going to Georgia Tech for a few days because of this pressure to stick around.

So you're saying not to take this silence as evidence that he might be about to commit? I hear the reporters go silent right before that sometimes....

Zero chance he commits this weekend. It'll be awhile before he decides plus we don't know yet if he'll qualify. If he believes the crap you listed I wouldn't want him anyway. I'd take great offense if someone told me I wouldn't be able to cut it academically. As to Tuitt he was Tech's for one day and then was back in the fold. It had nothing to do with pressure to stay home. It was simply that Tuitt liked Tech's coaches and had a hard time saying no because he didn't want to "hurt their feelings." Simply the kind of kid who wants to say yes to everyone.

I didn't mean to say he has to necessarily "commit", just that he and the coaches needed to come to some sort of internal understanding that they would get another look or shot at it later in the process. Sorry if it was confusing, I could've worded it better.

As to the other stuff I think you underestimate how much of an effect that kind of recruiting has on kids, especially a place like ND which is basically alien even in the Midwest because of things like core 6, and other B1G pushers. Kids who don't excel in the classroom in the first place can be easily frightened by a place like ND that has a reputation for being difficult. And it's not like the coaches recruiting against us say "You're stupid, ND is way out of your league." It's much more sophisticated and underhanded but they definitely try to plant a seed (inception!) in the kid's head that ND would be a very hard choice. I agree that I want kids who overcome that kind of thing, because I think that's a big part of the kind of kids that come here, but I also think it's a bigger factor than you admit. Again though like the original post says, this is all my opinion.

Corey Holmes and Richard Yeargin are both staying until tomorrow with Bo.

I think that's huge.

I just hope he isn't disappointed that all the beautiful girls went home on fall break. Better than SEC women.

Per Wiltfong, was in awe of the campus and ND could be in the picture moving forward, not ready to say we can flip him.

I thought Hood was big, but Bo almost makes Hood look tiny. Have Bo stand next to a MLB and there probably won't be much of a difference

Reading his comments on 247 doesn't really get me excited to be honest. It sounds like he enjoyed the experience and is glad he came but it pretty much stops at that. When a recruit says a coach will "always be my guy," and that he will stay in touch with his host it doesn't exactly sound as though he will be coming back anytime soon.

Yeah Corey said he thought Bo liked it and he could tell he was looking around at other schools. That's pretty much it.

He sounds like a close to the vest type.
