Don't know about that. Gunner was straight scout team his first year and I heard nothing but bad reports relative to what Malik Zaire has looked likeas a freshman. Don't know if Gunner could've beaten out Hendrix, much less Rees.

False. Winston was #1 right? And we all know that ND originally looked to pass on a QB in '12 and that they weren't enamored with any QBs in the class, which means they weren't really thrilled with Kiel or anyone else they could get initially.

I think after watching Barnett's film, he reminds me a lot of Mauk if he were to increase his arm strength. Both are deceptively fast and smooth runners.

This is so dumb, the point I was like trying to make was that no one really wanted Mauk because he was short, because his numbers were inflated because of the way his dad runs the offense, and because he would be a cancer on the team with his dad calling Kelly every night. We all wanted Kiel and got him so what is the point in saying "True or false, this player, that no one really wanted would be starting?"

And considering we had a 336 post long thread where MANY people said they'd rather have Mauk how on earth can you say that "no one really wanted Mauk?" There were a lot of people that thought he was a better fit for a spread and liked his superior athleticism.

We all wanted Kiel and got him so what is the point in saying "True or false, this player, that no one really wanted would be starting?"

No, the point is that not everyone wanted Kiel and it was one of the more evenly debated topics ever on this board............ and even if everyone did want Kiel, we constantly track how other Notre Dame targets/former commits pan out and hypothesize on how they would've done at ND.
