Okay, after rereading these two brilliant posts (if I do say so myself) he says decision date is Oct. 6th which is before the SC game. And the other visits would come after that. That doesn't make much sense.

Things change, and I've always been hopeful he would end up as part of this class. But either there's been an incredible turnaround in 48 hours (crossing my fingers... summer school? who knows) or that poster is misinformed.

If his GPA were that low I don't think ND would have even brought him up to campus. Not doubting your source but I do know the guy on II has been vetted by staff and is considered legit. Close to admissions and close to coaching staff.

He's not a fit for a lot of offenses plus some schools simply will rule him out due to size. But he's a great fit for the spread offense like ND or West Virginia. Not so much for SEC schools like Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida who run pro style offenses.

I guess there are two ways an offer is reported. 1.) The player makes it known he has been offered by a school or 2.) The school tells reporters they have offered a player. My guess is most offers are reported by the player, not the school.

Some players want everyone to know every school that has offered him. The higher ranked a recruit is, the more widely known his offer list is (my guess). Guys like McKenzie who keep a low profile and aren't attention whores, receive offers that go unreported.

There was an interview or article about McKenzie a few months ago that said his offer list was much larger than was being reported. I believe the number was closer to 40.

Now who really knows if the "offer" is committable or not, but I'm pretty confident in saying McKenzie has more than the 13 offers listed in BGIF's post. Who they are? I have no clue. McKenzie hasn't divulged that info.

I'm skeptical about the 40 offers. If you have 40 offers, and you are only going to list a dozen of them, why would you list THESE schools (besides ND of course). Combine that with his low rating.

I would highly doubt he has been cleared by ND. He has yet to complete the requirements to even get to the point of getting to that process.
