You should be banned a week for each visit to a Happy Valley game without ND playing. You should additionally be banned for life for f*cking a PSU fan.

Been saying that for a loong time now...guy is a huge Penn State homer. Thinks Bill O'Brien is god.

I'm a college football fan. I actually met Paterno on my first visit. He held an elevator for me and we ended up talking for 3-4 minutes. One of the cooler experiences I've had. And, I don't discriminate when it comes to attractive ladies.

Bill O'Brien is not God. He is a disciple of one though :)

No need. I have a self imposed ban. Last year was the first year I didn't go to a game since I've started going.

I completely empathize. I was class of 2011, losingest class ever. I started Med school in Grenada last fall and while I was out of the country we were undefeated. I went to the championship game and ...

Spent a week in Granada this summer, absolutely loved it, even more than Madrid and Sevilla. Serious medical complex there also, that is what and where my daughter wants to be now.

For all we know, he could have swept up some down in the dumps Temple girl...

Quote from CatsPause re: Ketucky:

"It's cool to have that feeling like you are big man on campus already and how I can be famous in my home state. Then, it makes me realize everybody has their eye on me and I don't want to mess up or do something wrong. It comes both ways,"

This! When I was younger I went to two Penn State games. The first was a win over Temple and the campus was rockin'. Everyone was in a great mood and I got laid. The second was a loss to Ohio State. The scene afterwards sucked. Everyone just wanted to fight and I did not get laid.

Wins are important for all of the reasons kuehnja mentioned. In some cases, not all, it's the difference for a recruit.

Did you take the stand at the trial???

Ha I noticed this too on a football weekend at PSU. And they weren't trying to fight opposing fans necessarily, although there was some of that ... they were mostly fighting each other. I've never seen so many fights in one weekend.

Although the Kentucky defense will primarily run a base 4-3 defense, the Kentucky coaching staff has pitched an opportunity to allow Elam to gain experience in a variety of sets.

"I think they will turn me into a great [defensive tackle] who can play [nose tackle] and two-gap which will open a lot of doors for me," Elam said.

basically talking like he is committed to UK

Some PSU fan gave 11 year old NDPhilly the finger at the 2007 game. :(

That's the nicest thing you could have gotten at PSU when you were 11.

Yup. A slight step up from the finger would have been a beating and beer thrown on you.

I saw Purdue students/fans spit at some elderly ND fans in West Lafayette. Thank God we'll never join that awful conference.

I don't mind the yelling, but the throwing of beer cans was over the top. Total douches.

And people say our fan base is delusional...more Penn State goodness:

BlueWhiteIllustrated.com - Message Boards

You said "Nebraska has committed to giving every kid from Nebraska the chance to make the team, their team. They have great fans, a great tradition and are a class organization. One that Penn Staters respect and aspire to be." Are you serious? I don't know a single Penn State alum or fan that aspires to be Nebraska. We have been the gold standard in College Football for the past 45 years, not Nebraska. Now, if you want to say that Nebraska has a better President, and Board of Trustees, OK, I am with you. None can be worse than the clowns we have in charge.

What exactly does Penn State need to learn from Nebraska? We're talking two great programs, two of the best in all of college football all-time. Penn State is a program that has won, graduated its players, and played by the rules. Penn State doesn't need to follow someone else's blueprint to be successful.

It's one thing to say that O'Brien can learn something from this coach or something from that coach. It's a whole other thing to say that Penn State should aspire to be Nebraska. That's horseshit.

....about Nebraska that I would want Penn State to aspire to be. We're better than them in every way I can think of.

What?! Nothing against Nebraska, but Penn State does not aspire to be Nebraska. O'Brien is taking run-ons (that's what he calls them) out of necessity, not out of a desire to make Penn State like Nebraska. Penn State has the great tradition and is a class organization. Penn State doesn't need to be and shouldn't strive be more like any other program. Many other programs need to be and should strive to be more like Penn State.

As much as I would love to see him here, I think Elam is staying home. Lots of time and work to do though so will keep a slight glimmer of hope, but odds are definitely not on our side.

Penn State fans are among the MANY that would do well to aspire to be as classy as Nebraska's core base I'll just say that...

Do some research on what NU fans do when the other team/fans arrive in town for Saturday's game... Cornhusker fans are a special breed. Among the best in sports.

II went to Elam's season opener and interviewed him after the game. Nothing ground breaking. Coming for official and wants to see gameday atmosphere. We continue to pitch early playing time at NG. Another guy asked about Kentucky and Elam said that he talks with Stoops almost everyday and they are calling telling him he'll be a hero if he came to Kentucky as soon as steps on campus. Also, Jake brown said word around the sidelines was it more of a ND, UK, Alabama even though he publicly has a top 6.
