espn has him at 4.98 40....can't be right can it?
a fl kid a week after a campus visit to uf, gta be a first
4.98 is what he ran at The Opening and those times were considered by many to be 'fast' (meaning his NFL combine time would probably be slower than that). He appears to play faster than 4.98 in his film and he has great closing speed. His vertical (30") is actually more concerning IMO. Regardless of his testing numbers though, I think we're getting a kid that isn't even close to realizing his physical potential. He has a great frame to build off of and unteachable instincts, not to mention the intangibles that will allow him to really fit in at ND.
thats a first for meAlquadin could pretty much only play CAT. Yeargin could possibly play all 4 LB spots. Muhammad was a much more explosive athlete IMO. Kid would have been a beast at ND.
This makes defensive recruiting seem very good in my eyes. We have Hayes, Trumbetti, Yeargin, Blankenship adding in Martini sounds very good IMO. We have some work to do along the Dline but it'll get done. This is very very good.
Yeragin has over 40 offers and has position flexibility.
Awesome pick up.
