At first I wasn't very impressed. The more i watched his film, the more I liked.

ND is close to offering. Alford wants to see more game film on him but they will continue to talk and build a relationship. Said he really likes the combination of religion, football, and academics since that is everything he's looking for. Likes the private setting too. He wants to visit this summer, but if he can't make it due to finances, he will take an official.

He comes across as mature and level headed as one can from an online interview.

kid's got as good a gear as anyone i've seen at his position in this class. closing speed looks pretty elite too and seems to play well in space. Cat LB written all over him.

He was told an offer would be coming once his highlights were released so the staff could see some film. They were released last week.

I don't take it that way. I think we are squarely in the race for Williams and probably in the top 2-3. I think this is an indication that Yeargin is pretty darn good himself. I really liked his tape from when this thread first started.

i really like his potential too...fits perfectly in our scheme imo

According to TJ34 on II, who is the resident insider on their board, Yeargin is being recruited as an ILB. Really can't believe this myself but he also went on to explain in detail the things the staff look for in ILB. He basically says that it's one if the harder positions to recruit and project for our defense. Very interesting stuff.
