I doubt that he ever plays a meaningful down of college football.

Sadly true. Even worse I suspect the red flags are building up in the NFL too. I really hope he gets things right at some point.

I'm tired of this too.

Are there new red flags since he got to community college?

There is a new red flag. He's currently reconsidering his career path after taking "Matador" class.

*this wouldn't shock me at all at this point

I don't really know to be truthful. I thought his tweet about SEC schools just seemed odd considering the trouble he's had getting in at ND and Oklahoma. Who knows where else he's tried. The Tweet just gave me a sense of "lack of reality" in his thinking.

I really wish him the best, I really do but his maturity and sense of reality is certainly a red flag for me. Yea, I know, I'm not a NFL scout.

Have any of you guys on here seen a crazier story about a recruit? Not that he has really done anything bad. It's just, the saga of Tee continues..................

Well that's the thing, right? There are tons of kids out there who've done (or been associated with) all manner of scuzzy recruiting practices. Tee's got none of that.
He seems like a decent kid who just got in over his head academically, appears to have no useful adult counsel and overshares on Twitter. It's hard not to pull for him, but I'm increasingly of that camp who thinks we'll never see him play meaningful minutes for a big-time program. And it's baffling as to why.

With a history of academic difficulty, the SEC seems like the most logical option to me. School is an afterthought to football and there are options to cruise through without getting a real education.

The way he speaks of ND is very telling about the situation too. The journalist couldnt even twist it into too negative of an article.

Chris Martin comes to mind. Looks like David Perkins is going that way too.

I can't read it. Can we get a synopsis?

Basically we blocked him from going to Oklahoma (and he says any FBS schools) and that is going to be the media's take from it. Feldman and others are tweeting the story with reference to the fact that ND blocked him. The story is really about him finally getting a chance to play this fall and about where he would like to go next year. Tee still loves ND and he would love to come back if the opportunity were available.

The part about us blocking him from going to OU is not in the story anymore, or at least I didn't see it. It just says this:

Following Notre Dame Shepard committed to Oklahoma and was set to enroll for the 2013 spring semester in Norman. However, things were not meant to be.

Article doesn't say that at all. If it did, those lines were taken out.

Comment from the Washington writer:

Made an edit after talking with an ND source. Was better to just leave those comments out because it was more about sour grapes, according to an Irish insider. Doesn't sound as if Kelly or ND did any "blocking", per se, but Tee may have perceived that, at the same time I think it's futile to discuss it from here on out as it can't be confirmed.

It blows my mind, that a kid that has NEVER played D1 ball gets so much pub! I really hope he does something productive with his life, but up until this point it has been nothing but drama! What ever happened to the old analogy: Actions speak louder then words?

Or his HS senior year for that matter.

Honestly you would think his "support network" would advise him to keep his mouth closed and let his play do the talking! If he's good enough and could qualify I'm sure Houston would take him:)

It's funny that he still hasn't played a down of college ball for his junior college, yet he releases a top 5 list of big dogs for his next step. Something's amiss here.

What a bunch of total bull. YOU CANNOT BLOCK SOMEONE YOU KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL AND WON'T WELXOME BACK FROM ENROLLING SOMEWHERE. This is common ****ing sense. Likely Oklahoma lied to him saying they couldn't take him because of ND when really it was transcripts or whatever so that they would still have a chance with him after JUCO.
