An interesting point for discussion. One that could be fascinating for some and boring as hell for others. Things architectural grew from the most basic to the most ornate with retreats now and then. There's a happy medium somewhere. At times art and science collided. Sometimes with magnificent results and at others with tragic failures.

Simple doesn't mean simplistic. Ornate doesn't mean functional. Neither does artistic sensibility negate utility.

Form follows function. Function follows need. A cringe here, a collapse there; this too, shall pass.

had actual hubcap and gargyle decorations based on their autos; with that steel facade, the art deco meets gothic-unheard of at the time. they sure pulled it off. talk about a happy medium that had magnificent results.
now, im biased as my grandfather was one of the archtitects on it...and his firm was actuallly never paid in full for everythin they did for Bill Chrysler. used to be a joke for my dad growing up they would never buy a Chrysler only Fords b/c everyone at the firm ended up hating Chrysler due to the non payments haha.

have driven by it a few times, they alwys have a big advertising banner all over it and it just looks awful though.

And just to put some clarity to the Shamrock Series…it’s my chance to listen to everybody talk about our crazy uniforms. I love it.

And we got some uniforms this year. If you didn’t like the shamrock, and the blue shamrock, if you didn’t like that one, you’re going to hate this year’s. It’s gonna be awesome. So I’m just getting you ready for it.

I think there is a difference. Last year it was just gold put into the grey molding, so it was a speckled look. Judging from those pictures it seems as though they've done something to the facemasks that makes them transition from grey to gold depending on what angle you view them. I'm just basing this off the pictures.

They wore those last season. The Copper Bowl was played in Tuscon, and yes, it was to pay tribute to the copper mines in AZ.

I think black could be crazy cool if done right.
HUGE outcry from many fans but still, my personal opinion, they'd be amazing. Flat Black helmets with Gold?! Dang that would be so stunning.

I have never seen black jerseys done bad. That's a hard color to mess up

Uhh.... copper helmets?

I've always liked Arizona's copper helmets and, as FLDomer pointed out, they have a nice connection to the state.

Regarding black uniforms, I'm not against them per se, but they're just so damned cliche right now. If Adidas can give us a fresh take on them, I'd be all for it.

The only way I'd be ok with black on the helmet would be if it was matte black shamrock on the side and the rest of the helmet was totally normal.
