'12 AZ WR Davonte Neal (Arizona Transfer)

The lunatic in my head still has a shred of hope that BK has kept Davonte up his sleeve and might give him a draw up or two in the NCG.

I know, I think the fact that he hasn't seen much if any offense at all this season, seeing him in a package may be a dead giveaway like the counter run to GAIII is every time he comes in.

I think the one thing BK can pull up his sleeve is a decent punt return. Plenty of time to establish and train some of our walk-ons and backups to hold blocks on SP. We have been due all season for an electric return, either GAIII or Neal, I'm hoping one of them breaks something. Neal is dyeing inside I'm sure, he takes every chance he can to return a punt if he can, he will be something special.

I was a young, and very soon there after, single father of 2 early on. I hope he realizes now the importance of his degree and the decisions he makes going forward.

Man I hope a miracle happens and Slaughter gets to come back. He would be a great mentor for Neal since he has gone through the tribulations of attending Notre Dame, playing football and being a father. I'm sure it's not easy.

CHILL. Davonte is not transferring. Pregnancy is a 9 month type of thing. He was aware of this when he left in June. There are a few guys with kids on the team so he will be able to lean on them. This may be the thing he needs to have to get focused and mature. Slaughter matured very quick when his child was born, and I have no reason to think Davonte wont do the same.

I'm happy for them becoming fathers, but I'd really like if these college kids (Not just ND football students) weren't becoming fathers while theyre so young. Just doesn't seem like a great situation and kind of bittersweet to me.
